Hello, I am visiting Vegas on sep6th . Since I don’t know anything about vegas. Can any of you locals hel me out. I am going to stay at Bally’s. Got Thursday and Sunday night comped. Will be paying 47$ Friday and Saturday 180$. Since I want to stay on the strip. Am I getting a good deal? Can u tell me places where I can eat for real cheap like $5 steaks, cheap buffet etc. And also at that time sep 6-9 is there any events taking place. How will the weather be ? Should I pack jackets. Any helpful tips would be appreciated. Thank you in advance
There are no more $5 steaks.
I like the pool at Ballys -- simple and large.
And yeah it will be very hot in September.
It gets cold in the casinos.Quote: boymimboPretty much your one and only option for great deals staying mid strip of course is Ellis Island, a short 5 minute walk east of Ballys. You can get a good steak and eggs deal (I think $8) and a good dinner deal (ribs I think) there. And the VP and,Blackjack is quite reasonable and actually pays 3:2.

Yes, bring a light jacket and a pair of pants, just in case.
It will be hot but like others have said you'll be inside most of the time gambling, eating, and watching shows, and you might get chilly if they have the air cranked.

Off strip still some good deals
The Ellis Island steak dinner is served in the Café and requires that you print out two coupons from an EI kiosk, the second after playing at least $5 in any slot machine with your club card inserted, to get the $7.99 price.
Klondike Sunset serves two good prime rib specials in Sarah’s Kitchen—one for $12.99 beginning at 11 am and another for $5.55 beginning at 3 pm.
Flamingo would probably be cheaper. Bally's is a bit nicer, but the flamingo pool is a bumpin good time (as the kids say). Seriously though, they have a great pool scene. Have you ever played with caesars before? How much do you plan on gaming? I only ask because you might be able to get some of your bill comped off with your play by the end of your trip, just don't be afraid to ask a host on call.
Also if anyone wants to sell me 3 night room Thursday Friday Saturday sep 6/8 for 200 cash( not a penny more) at Bally’s, let me know. I will post my own credit card . I want an extra room.
If you’re a diamond, I’d highly recommend getting a rental car. Look into it because Vegas has some of the most affordable rates. With your diamond status, you can park for free. I second Romes and prefer the Flamingo (another Caesars property). The Flamingo’s location is a lot better and you should be able to get an upgraded GO room with diamond. With a rental car, you can go to all the nice bargain eateries off the strip. The diamond lounge is not as nice as the ones in AC, but if you want food, Harrah’s diamond lounge has the best spear in Vegas (but it’ll still disappoint you). Ellis Islands as others have mentioned is a must. Good luck.
Quote: Lucky34Diamond , no resort fee. If I buy the American casino guide , does it have coupons for Caesers bacchanal buffet ? Or is it coupons for only downtown cheap buffets? I will not be making the free play / match play run, so I think I will lose money if I buy the book? Correct
