EB, you must have some large testicles, dude. You didn't post for a little better than a year and now you question Frank's 2 month absence? LOL.
He probably just got tired of waiting for your return and gave up. Actually if I were him, I wouldn't want to post too much when being a professional writer. It's like Britney singing kaoroke and badly. Except, he was probably hurting his own brand by dilution and lack of quality as seen in publication.Quote: EvenBobFrank hasn't posted since May, where the heck is he.

Actually he just posted an article 4 days ago on casinocitytimes.. So he's around I guess. Probably doesn't like this site too much :(

Basically he's probably waiting for a good post with many replies to jump back in. Although posting here has no negative expectation. Unless you get suspended.
Possibly for some of the same reasons a bible sales man shouldn't try to sell bibles at an atheist convention.Quote: nickolay411This made me crack up.

You can't prove dice influence in a 3 hour show, but we could have some sort of skilled competition where someone takes me on and tries to shoot into bets with better results than I have. It could still be fun.
For the record, I don't believe in AP casino craps play, but I do believe that I have as good of a chance as anyone else to beat the best shooter in the world in a skill-based competition where the only task is shooting and you don't get to pick your targets.
back wall half the time and nobody says a word
to them. Is that a Vegas rule or something?
There is discretion in the game, and if you're losing and not doing anything special to throw the dice, they don't care.
Trying to control the dice and getting verbal warnings about the way that you're throwing the dice is not NEARLY as much fun as just throwing the dice in one of ten dozen different ways and laughing your ass off about it.
Can I say ASS? There's a question!
?
I think as long as the word is in the bible you can say it.Quote: AhighI think there was an entire thread about this. But yeah, shorties get paid until they take the dice away. If you're not trying to "get away" with anything and you just have a weak shot, they still tell you short roll if they care and/or if they really are concerned about you getting them all the way down.

I enjoy reading the posts but I am in the midst of writing a new book and that is an all-day task with a rapidly approaching deadline. Plus writing dozens of articles pe4r month. Takes up a lot of time.
I have also been travelling. I enjoyed a 12 day baseball trip, then a 17-day cruise around the United Kingdom, a New Jersey trip and then a few days in Atlanta. I do come here to read the posts when I can because I love this site.
you were teaching dice control full time on
Princess Cruises or something.

Yikes! Sounds awful, Frank. Lol.

I have roots there as well. We are able to laugh at ourselves and take all the jokes in stride, many from folks who have never visited. It's easier than extolling the virtues of this beautiful state which is something the comedians don't want to hear. We could remind the naysayers that New Jersey is consistently the second or third richest state in the union and a great place to live and raise a family but then we would be called stuck up.
Happy 350th birthday, NJ!

The property taxes are killer though.

This, and the car insurance prices. The hidden cost of corruption is probably pretty high too.
And the gun laws are terrible.

I was born and raised in the northern suberbs of NJ, and found it OK as a kid, as it was all I had ever known.
Once I started traveling I quickly realized how much I did NOT like NJ.
Primarily, it is too crowded near NYC and Philadelphia.
Miles and miles of houses, end to end.
The land is mostly flat and boring: I skiied once in south Jersey on a hill made by piling dirt over a huge pile of garbage: how fitting.
Lots of heat and humidity in the summer, not enough snow in the winter to make it interesting.
The people I met and knew were OK, no problems there, but again there were just too many people per capita.
You haven't lived til you get caught in a massive traffic jam, whether going to work of to "the Jersey shore."
I moved out of state to go to college at age 17, and put the state on NJ in my rear view mirror for the last time almost 40 years ago.
I miss the pizza, but that's all.
North Jersey is just an extension of NYC, with rows and rows of slums as has already been mentioned.
And the people of Jersey...what an attitude. The obnoxious show Jersey Shore hit it right on the head.
And speaking of the Jersey shore, with the exception of Wildwood, Jersey has really crummy beaches. many places there is no beach or sand. I grew up in Daytona Beach....Now that is a beach. :)
But, I will give Jersey the tomato argument. They have some good tomatoes.

Yes.
Tomatoes, OTOH, I will put the crops from Asheville, NC area (southern Appalacians) up against any in the world. Their only problem is they're so delicate they don't travel well for commercial distribution. But, in early September, it's worth driving hundreds of miles just to buy a couple flats of them from the roadside stands. And, unless you've had them, I won't hear another word in opposition. :)
Might be worth it with a side trip to Cherokee casino!Quote: beachbumbabsTomatoes, OTOH, I will put the crops from Asheville, NC area (southern Appalacians) up against any in the world. I would bet they're fantastic. But New Jersey tomatoes are a "thing", a specific hybrid known as the Ramapo tomato, developed by Rutgers University in 1968. New Jersey Tomatoes: WHat's All the Hype About?

Facebook. I'm not a member but I can read some of his entries. He last posted on Jan 17th.
I am now using FrankScobe as my name because the site seems to be rejecting Frank Scoblete. (It feels bad to be rejected.) I am busily writing two books at once; one, I am going over the blue lines and the other which is halfway finished.
I do post on Facebook during my breaks. I'll try to post on occasion but until these books are finished and published I can't spend too much time posting. I'm also doing a lot of travel around the country and the world; trying to catch up with all the things I've missed during my 25-year casino career.

Hi, Frank.
I checked your membership; there appears to be no reason for your sign-in not to work. Could you please use the Contact in the menu bar at the top and ask them (JB is the one who gets those) to reset your ID? Otherwise there's some doubt as to whether it's you. Thanks.
The second thing is that he probably gets tired of getting beat up on this site all the time. I know there are things I am not a fan of and have said, so but I always try to do so in a respectful way. Many others on this site, don't do it that way. Many just like to pile on.

Too many people per capita?
Just giving you some crap, MrV :). I missed this the first time around.
I do not have any problem with people disagreeing with me. But those arguments become so circular that at a certain point they are more like two (or three) sides of different religions shouting prayers at each other. Still, I did post some gambling thoughts in the craps section and maybe other sections. I do tend to ignore posters who attempt to be clever or hound you with sarcasm. These folks are merely writing for people who already agree with them. Sarcasm does not win a debate; it merely entertains those who already agree with the sarcastorist. It is also, unless you are Jonathan Swift, usually dull writing.
When I am writing books I find it hard to sustain too many web site conversations. Since discussing gambling is not my one-true-love, I've been sticking to Facebook. I do write for CasinoCityTimes because I am contracted to do so. That's fine with me too. I am not giving up the magazines and newspapers for which I write.
I enjoy conversations not on gambling so I get to do that on Facebook. One of the two books I am now writing is not on gambling and the gambling one will --- I think --- shock some people. As I have done with my books I will probably offer free copies to posters on this site. I still like this site.
The last non-gambling thing I wrote for Wizard of Vegas (I forget what it was) seemed to strike the Wizard wrong; I think he dumped it. So instead of posting these here I have moved over to Facebook. You can befriend me if you wish.
I will make a point of coming here. Once my new gambling book finishes the seemingly never-ending process of being published I will have some more time.
Actually I think Scobe here is the real guy, although I wonder if he just needs to do the ol' "forgot my password" thing that is surely available like everywhere else.
But on Facebook, I note there are three choices, one of which is Facebook-generated apparently, confirming my belief that Facebook is run by nerds that are complete jerks.
the first one I think is the proper one.
https://www.facebook.com/frankscoblete
this next one seems to be another author perhaps baffled that another author with the same name exists
https://www.facebook.com/scoblete?fref=ts
this last is the Facebook-nerds-being-jerks-thing, saying "This Page is automatically generated based on what Facebook users are interested in, and not affiliated with or endorsed by anyone associated with the topic." wtf?

Your books....It's great writing for newcomers or GAMBLERS, perhaps a few AP's looking for ENTERTAINMENT.
I would challenge FS in anything hard core AP or counting(Ill assume it was very limited).
I would question Frank's history with DI and the early days of the Dominator (pre Dominators wide spread popularity and his "ACTUAL DI success", including Franks overall DI and AP success ). I would even be willing to bet I knew of Dominator and his shenanigans prior your promoting him and DI.
I'm assuming the Frank and Dominators connection started and ended as a marketing tool.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Whats beyond the AP books? What real AP is any of the main players (no pun intended) is actually happening?
Why is everyone retired?
What percentage of all the money came from AP vs non AP revenue(excluding, books, classes, videos, websites, touting, personal backing or percentage deals)?
Why is everyone notable retired from actual AP?
I must assume your being TAD SILLY here or you cant see.
Anyone that knows frank (which I do) will tell you those are
all pictures of him.

Perhaps in Carmen San Diego.
