I kicked off my play this year down here in Louisiana today and I had a blast!!!
I usually get to the casinos as early as possible but my fiancé want to come along... And you know anytime you add a lady to the equation, you can guarantee a extra two hours. We arrived around 7 and for some reason, it was very crowded for the morning crowd. There mostly the guys who were probably trying to catch back up from what loss... I didnt shoot while they were there and played the don't while I waited and did pretty well... After about 45 minutes they began to clear out. So I was finally alone on the table and proceeded to grab the dice and boom it happened... I began with a 60 dollar 6&8 and didn't look back... Now 45 minutes on the table is like an eternity when you're shooting. No one else is make prop bets and the dice are coming back quick...... 6,8,6,6,8,6,9,6,8,6,6,6,6 it didn't stop!!!!! when I got to 420 on both the 6 and 8 I finally put down a 5 & 9 and and it went great... Colored up and left!
Practice makes perfect....
Good luck guys

Not to be a wise ass or anything, but why would you bet the 9?

I usually don't but, after a while it started to come out alot as well. Im usually very strict about only playing 6&8. Im pretty sure you know that when you have a decent shot, placing a 6&8 is all that you need.

My question to you was all about you hitting only the 6's and 8's then hitting one 9 in the roll data that you posted.

The way I would look at it is put your chips where they are doing you the most good. I personally never want to see a 6 or an 8 when I'm shooting and I'm betting the 4's and 10's. All of my set are set up to make nothing but outside box numbers. But if the set I'm using is making lets just say the 6, then my chips go to the 6.
I look at craps as a return on my investment, while everybody on this board would say that I'm nut for betting on the 4's and 10's, I think they are the best bets on the table, for two reasons. If I'm rolling them they are the best bets for your return on investment. But you have to be able to roll them if you are betting them. So the two reasons are very simple, I can make the 4's and 10's and they are the best bets for return on your investment!
On the other hand nothing should be written in stone when you are shooting, and you should change your betting if you are not hitting the box numbers you start out with your chips on!

You think :-)
Quote: IbeatyouracesYeah, wouldn't it be great if you could toss the dice and then bet afterward!
Some people would still lose.

@superrick
The 9 was just the first one I hit, There was a guy taking data and told me what I hit. There were several more after that.
But You are correct about the 4s and 10s. if you are hitting them, you cant beat it.

One of the biggest mistakes that most players make is, not betting on what is being rolled, if they have been led to believe that they best bets on the table is the 6's and 8's like TheWolf713 was making, but the guy that is shooting is making nothing but 4's and 10's they will live their chips on the 6's and 8's without ever getting a paying hit.
Now everybody can jump all over me for making a statement like that, but if you have chips on a bet that you read in a book is the best bet on the table and nobody is rolling them, you are basically throwing you're money away.
There are times that you will see a shooter making nothing but one or two box numbers and is stead of just pressing those box numbers, they will try to spread out their bets, therefore costing themselves money, but putting chip on box numbers they are not hitting. If what you are doing is working, don't try to change up what you are doing, put the chips where they will make you money!

Quote: JB85On a table by yourself, you should be getting 2-3 rolls per minute. That's a 90+ roll. Once in a lifetime...
I'm glad you understand what I'm saying.
This is why I posted this. I don't think people understood why I am so proud of this. It was crazy!!!!

By myself on a craps table? At least 8 rolls per minute, 10 or 12 with a fast crew.

Superrick makes some very valid points... Most player do get stuck thinking that they should only place bets on 6&8. I will always say "play the table" . If you are making 4&10s, bet em!
