I used to do Pass line and 2 come bets (max odds), aka 3Point Betty. at 5x odds, the HE is .3%.
but that is boring when #'s hit that I dont have $ on.
Then i discovered BUYing the 4/10 w/the commision paid after you hit.
when i saw the BUY 4/10 1.7% house edge i figure that isnt much more than the 1.5% edge for the 6/8 so i changed my strategy to:
- pass line + max odds
- buy the 4/10 for 1/2 max odds, place the 6/8 for 1/2 max odds
- continuous Come bets/max odds
basically when the comeout roll is a 4,6,8, or 10 the odds are paid for.
yeah i know my new strategy has a higher house edge, but its more fun for me. There is continuous action if one of the #'s is rolled.
With 3point Betty, it sucks if a # kept getting rolled but you have no $ there.
plus i can do continuous come bets which is the best strategy for minimizing house edge.
This strategy is GREAT for an action junkie like me and the main reason I like it :)
So whats the house edge?
