Hey Guys,
I found myself thinking about this one earlier today and had to admit I did not know the answer as I have never tried:
The question is fairly straight forward. Say a table minimum is $10 and you place $10 on the pass line with whatever odds. After the point is established can you place a come bet for say $5 (and back it was the appropriate odds), even though it is below the table minimum bet?
Hopefully it is an easy question!

The come bets are the same minimum as the pass line/don't pass. The center bets (prop bets) may have lower minimums.

The short answer is no. For a longer answer, see Dan's reply.
Somewhat related: at a $25 table, I asked if it would be ok if a player bets $24 on the 6/8 place bets. The dealer replied that if the player is a good guy and has other bets up and the boxman is in a good mood, they MAY let ya slide on that.

All bets except the center and fire are subject to the minimums.

Of course, you can place a bet for the dealers at less than the table minimum. I don't know whether there is any restriction at all on that.Quote: boymimboAll bets except the center and fire are subject to the minimums.

What about free odds? Can you bet less than 1X?

Unlike roulette, where the sum of the individual bets have to be at least the table minimum.

In most casinos, the answer is yes, especially if laying. An exception to that general convention is Caesar's Entertainment properties in Las Vegas.
