That'll be the Wizard. It's his forum, you know...

More likely than not, your thread is exactly where it should be.... right below all the threads you haven't read yet.

However, since you're new here, that means, you have lots of unread threads.

Go to the top of the forum list, and hit the "Mark as read" button.

That should straighten things out.

Note to Wiz: You gotta fix that! Make all threads already read for new members.

On the other hand....

Your thread WAS deleted.

If enough people hit the "Flag Post" button, it gets deleted.

Since your profile shows two threads, but only one appears when the link is clicked, it confirms a thread that was deleted.

If you don't feel your thread was offensive, then probably a couple of old hands here thought it looked like spam.

I'm reading this, and know it is a frustrating problem. I hope to do some improvements to this site early next year.

I don't think flagging can remove a thread, but only a post. Anyway, why not just post your thread again and see what happens? If its nasty we will take care of it.

I recall that if the first post in a thread is flagged/removed, the whole thread disappears. That'd be an interesting test...

Someone tested that in the past, and it does.

I'd suggest a two-flag limit is a bit low, even if it is two older hands. I do recall the post. It was a link to a page of crazy about dice and dice patterns and how casino dice has different sides to make the 7 more or less likely, and there's only 3 ways to a roll a 7 and other search sperg. I gave up after 7 minutes... it was too rambling nuts for me (much like the time cube nutter).

Didn't seem like link-spam but that's just me. Other posters may have disagreed....

That was me, confirming that Jerry Logan's final diatribe could be deleted entirely by flagging the first post. Then the SOB just blogged it for posterity...

Wait. What? You flag the posts to delete a useless diatribe, but then go read his blog to get more of the same?

I flagged the post in question about a minute
after it was posted. The thread title said something
like "IS THIS GUY CRAZY???", all in caps, and I
went to the site and it was about some craps
method and they wanted you to email them
for 'the details'. Sure looked like spam to me. You
see this all the time on roulette sites, the spammer
posts a thread to bring attention to the the spam
by acting like he's a baffled customer or 3rd party.

Hmmm.....

I've flagged posts like that even WITHOUT clicking on the link.

In general, if a first time poster is doing anything questionable, chances are, it's spam / scam / whatever.
