They say it is to count the number of rolls.. Not sure why the hell they need to do that. If the technology is there to do something like this, what else are they doing?
Has anyone else seen this? I saw it at Harrah's Philadelphia. Any thoughts...?

Felt.
Also, how does this change the house edge?
It would help with any kind of "most rolls before 7ing out" type promotions.
Quote: WatchMeWinThere is a new electronic device implemented into the craps table .... and this should be very concerning to all. It is a circular dotted ring embedded flush with the craps table under the phelp. The electronic lights show red and green after each roll.

Player tracking/rating and dealer speed auditing is my guess. The actual speed of the game (number of rolls per hour) is an important stat for both (if that is the primary purpose of this implementation).

Maybe because that would be as relevant to be worried about as worying about a led disc installed in the table.

any identifying marks?

i have found a patent which aligns to this idea, and is recent, but is abandoned.
if anyone is interested im pretty sure the drawings for this patent are a table which show the probabilities of the consecutive rolls

Quote: WatchMeWinNo, it is not a side bet. Electronics now built into the base/surface of electronic craps table. Technology is there .. Possibilities are endless.

He's already claimed there are magnets controlling bubble craps rolls.Quote: DeMangoNo one mentions magnets? Shocking!

So, you are saying you believe there could be magnets in the new craps tables? That's crazy dide! I don't think you play enough craps to make that assertion.
Bet the Dont, throw the dice in the dealer corner where it's hard for security to read the faces, easy 6, next dice same place, crooked stick calls out "seven" and pulls them in fast or tumbles them, crooked dealer pays the shooter. Or any number of other ways.
Quote: WatchMeWinThe electronic lights show red and green after each roll.
There's only one thing I have seen that matches this description, and I have seen it at a fair number of casinos.
After each roll, the stick man pulls the dice back (with the stick) and places them in the circle. The lights change color then change back when the stick man moves the dice to the shooter. The dice may remain in the circle for a period while the crew pays bets and accepts new wagers, or the dice may be in the circle for only an instant before being moved on.
The only function I have been able to decipher is keeping track of how long the crew takes between rolls, or the number of rolls in a particular time period. I have never noticed anything to be alarmed about. I have no idea whether the sensor is detecting anything about the dice other than their presence in the circle between rolls, but I suppose there could be some kind of electronic inspection process.
I would guess there's magnets in most electronic devices. I don't know enough about electronics to know for sure). I'M CERTAIN THERE ARE NO MAGNETS CONTROLLING ANY OUTCOMES OF ELECTRONIC CRAPS YOU HAVE COME ACROSS IN CASINOS HERE IN THE USA.Quote: WatchMeWinSo, you are saying you believe there could be magnets in the new craps tables? If it were true it seems like you could exploit it by betting opposite of the heavy action for smaller amount or something like that. Unless they only implement it when everybody is on the same bets.
And yes, I actually have some experience playing bubble craps, and yet I know very little about craps, I just bet xyz for good reason.
