This one fricken pit boss at a casino, for several times now, has been rating me in the system after I explicitly told him not to before I played... he has done it at least 3 x to my knowledge. My question is... are they instructed that they have to rate an individual, even if they dont want to be rated?
Quote: TigerWuHow do you get rated without a card? I've never been rated without giving them a player's card... If I don't hand over a card, I'm ignored.
I guess they know his name and they started rating him as a courtesy. idno.

No..some people dont have player cards...now if they are at a certain amount of $$ with no card, theyll get rated as a unknown player.

They know me and ive gotten rated in the past so they have my info. I just dont care to be rated at certain places because they have nothing to offer and I dont need w/l statements.
This would be for regulars, MTL people and maybe someone that played heavy that I think will be back.. I don't just take notes on every player though. 99% of players don't need any attention.
Depending on the casinos threshold, if you've played any type of higher action, they've got your picture and description in a folder. You may even have a made up name for easy tracking. For example, at my previous casino, everyone new a regular player that did not want to get a card by "Blowfish". He puffed his cheeks in and out when he played. So if you saw his tracking card, MTL or anything else, everyone knew who it was. Pretty common for regulars that dont have a card.

Quote: Zcore13We/I rate people all the time that choose or decline to give their card. Most Supervisors carry around a little pocket sized notebook with players names, numbers and descriptions.

Thanks for your input. I know the pit bosses are rating everyone and know what goes in and out of the tables , etc... but my question is, if they know who I am and have my card info, but I dont want to be rated and put into the system, do they automatically do it anyway? If I tell them NOT to rate me (meaning entering it in my card / account profile) in the system, are they supposed to honor my request or do they enter my play in my account anyway?

I don't think they have to honor your request. You gave them the information and now they have it, so they are probably going to use it. Your best bet might be to contact the Director of The Players Club, Marketing, or the Casino and ask them to not only cancel your Players Club card, but remove all of your information from the system. I don't think they have to oblige you on that either, but they may. You never know.
