That seems weird considering its a game with 3 dealers and sometimes a manager behind the chips. I guess the manager or stickman are in hot water for not watching closely
When somebody doesn't believe me, I could care less. Some get totally bent out of shape when not believed. Weird. I believe very little on all forums

Often an entire crew gets booted if something like that goes on without being reported. Seems strange, I mean what is the dealer's portion on it?

Many years ago, in the late 1980s, I was playing BJ at the Dutch Inn in San Juan. The dealer was pretty friendly and mentioned he had seen me before at a certain bar.
I didn't think much of it, when he suddenly let me push on several losses. A couple days later, he spotted me in the bar and approached me with a deal.
He'd push me on some hands and I'd give him $25 a night. I went along with it, and he saved me about $80 over the night. We met up and I gave him $25. He gave me his work schedule. I went a couple nights later and he wasn't there. Never saw him again, in the casino or the bar.

The older I get, the better I recall things that never happened

I am all for this type of play but geeesh!! Your in San Juan and taking this risk for 50 dollars!! I know some will say it isn't smart but I like the balls of it. What happened to you recently? It seems your a very square player nowadays and would never take a shot like this now. Want to team up in live Poker... we just need one or two more for a crew!? (sarcasm right?)

$50-$60 a night was good money in PR at the time. I was renting a nice one bedroom in a hi-rise for $85 a week. Lived there over a year but the landlord or his mother called every Monday for their weekly rent.
I was young and didn't have all that much to lose. Now, if I break even and get a couple nice meals a week I'm satisfied. Got everything I need and then some.

I wouldn't know and don't intend to find out. I guess I'll take your word on it.
