The craps community is grieving the loss of one of the top five dice controllers in the United States. In recent years he limited himself to the Midwest and was known by his internet handle of Lone Irish Digit (LID). He had a world-class toss and great betting discipline. I remember one time in Vegas he was testing a “due number” strategy and tossed 18 yoes in a row and never abandoned his strategy by betting on the yoe. He tragically passed on a recent craps roadtrip when he got lost and was killed by a polar bear.

I do not believe this. I think he tragically don't passed on that road trip.

His coffin was built by the box man.

I hope they catch the shooter.

You Tried: a Tribute to the Dice Setter
(c) 2016 by ME. :)

To the tune of ... nah, you know the tune already:

Rollin’, rollin’, rollin’
As though the cubes were bowlin’
Didn’t hit the point, but -- you tried

Your ego takes a beatin’
Your money is depletin’
You think about retreatin’, you tried

Turn the cubes, set the dice
Throw ‘em slow, real nice
In the air, off the wall
You tried

Ricochet, off the stack
Hit the puck, in the rack,
Seven out, line away,
You tried

Line away, you tried...
"In my own case, when it seemed to me after a long illness that death was close at hand, I found no little solace in playing constantly at dice." -- Girolamo Cardano, 1563

I can hear the whip crackin' all through this. Pretty funny!

You're a poet

You don't know it

Your feet show it

They're long fellows

Even better if you imagine the Blues Brothers singing it!
