I understand and appreciate all of the math here...I get it. I am not an AP and I know the house is collecting a tax on every bet, so my best bet may be an even money bet for all my money on one thing and then get the heck out of the casino. If I go in and play for hours, the casino is eventually going to have had an edge that says I should have lost my buy in...how much does it matter then if I give it to them 1.41% at a time or at a higher rate by adding in some smaller, higher edge bets in addition to some lower edge odds bets?
The important thing is that this site has taught me what the best bets are and helped me to make more of them and less of the others...but I don't think I will stop playing those other ones at least a bit!!
Quote: jessie.wilburnI like the fire bet better than ATS. I am sad that CET Casino doesn't offer the Firebet.
99% sure I played the Firebet at Harrah's LV last year. You might double-check. I also like the Firebet the best, but ATS is good too.
I prefer it as well. One bet, for as low as a dollar, plays for the duration of the shooter's turn. What's one buck?

All the LV CET props have the fire bet. Shocked that the one in KC doesn't.

I think all bets have to be approved by that state's gaming commission, so that maybe the reason for no firebet in KC.
Quote: IbeatyouracesI thought I read somewhere that Alan Mandelson reported that Caesars removed all the fire bets and replaced them with the ATS.
They have both bets here. They closed the fire bet table down at 2am last night and pushed everyone to the ATS table afterwards
Quote: RonC...and that is why so many people play the "Crazy Crapper" bets. They don't make sense, the math is not sound, but the payout is event-changing. Not life-changing, of course, but $40 out of say a thousand that can win over $4000 can turn a so-so night into a great one. Of course you will lose more than you will win...but I am a "lifetime winner" at craps in one of the casinos I don't go to very often because I won a small-tall-all bet the first time I played there.

There's a certain irony to the fact that there are smart people that still make stupid bets.
I'm not sure that I'm smart, but I know I still make stupid bets. But yes, making them for the point of having fun is always the right reason.
The increased cost on some of those dollar bets reflects the extra work for the dealers to service the bet.
Quote: ahiromuI parlay $25 hardways all the time. Bet how you want, just make sure the stupid bets make up a small percentage of your action.
Considering the fact that the difference between a smart better and a stupid one is only that a smart one loses his money slower, I'm with you, allow a small % of budget on something you enjoy even if it's not the best money management.
