I love Wizard of Odds, have ever since I began gambling when I came of age.
I've been a dealer since the start of 2014, and around Thanksgiving was hired to deal craps at Agua Caliente. On that note, I thought I'd offer an update on the "Playing Craps with Cards" section of the site.
I'm not sure how recent it was, but Agua switched to Barona-style card craps. There are six cards placed in random positions, face up, on the table, and the two dice determine which cards are played. The players know what numbers to shoot for and avoid. I've only been dealing craps for about a month and a half -- so I've yet to see it -- but every so often the cards are arranged randomly in natural A-2-3-4-5-6 order. That is about as close to real craps Southern California casinos are going to get.
Also, as a gambler I enjoy playing craps at San Manuel Casino, which is not listed on the "Playing Craps with Cards" page. There, they use a continuous automatic shuffler -- which I believe is four decks, but it may only be two -- and pulling two cards at a time, just as if it was Ultimate Texas Hold 'Em, or something. When the sticky calls for no more action, the cards and pulled and that is that.
Anyway, I love craps and enjoy this site a lot. Thank you.
