I was downtown today and I walked through the El Cortez and checked out the dice action for 5 minutes. There was a new player making $3 and $5 place 6/8 bets. El Cortez uses (a few) 50c pieces so they can pay $3.50 correctly on a $3 6. But a $5 6 only pays $5.
The vig on the extra $2 is 41%. Ouch.
