Was just at Mont Bleu overnight and was entertained by a few clowns at my end of the table (seems to happen every time I'm at this casino). Typically, they put a $10 pass line wager with minimal odds (usually 1x) followed by two to three "come" wagers (also with minimal odds). On a few occasions, we would get a roll like this...
Seven
Seven
Three
Seven
Pass line point established (6)
Come point established (8)
Come point established (4)
Come point established (5)
Seven out
Followed by "that's OK shooter...good roll, good roll!". I was crying and laughing at the same time. Even someone putting minimal odds on each point would have to realize they lost money on that roll (one would think).
There were also a few times where these guys were high fiving and dancing around after the shooter rolled 3 sevens and an eleven in four consecutive rolls. And yes, I won on those rolls (and that's better than losing), but it honestly feels like kissing your sister. I'm pretty even keeled in general, but certainly wouldn't get too excited until a shooter is knocking off multiple points with maximum odds behind it. I'm hosting a manager at work next weekend in Vegas (heading over to watch the Superbowl). I will be teaching her craps and I suspect when we're through, she won't be "that guy/gal" doing gyrations when 3 sevens in a roll come up.
In the end, a winner on this trip so pretty happy regardless.
