i got comped $50 in promo chips which was good for table games only.
decided to play at a real craps table (10x odds, $15min weekdays/$25 min other times).
first thing I noticed was that the Field was playing double on both the 2 and 12.
WTF?! (This casino opened in June 2012.)
then I noticed when people are Buying the 4 and 10, they pay the vig in advance and not on the win. :(
the only redeeming value was that it offered 10x odds.
I made two $25 Don't Pass bets with max odds. Both times it was on the 5. and both times I won!
+$300 each time:
$250 for the odds, $25 for the Don't pass flat bet, and $25 for the promo chips converted to real $
woot!
Yep, I've been seeing that more and more, but just like 6-5 Blackjack, most players are stupid and don't even know the difference.Quote: 100xOddsfirst thing I noticed was that the Field was playing double on both the 2 and 12.

For the most part, this is pretty much the rule, not the exception.Quote: 100xOddsthen I noticed when people are Buying the 4 and 10, they pay the vig in advance and not on the win.

I think a better analogy would be a casino lowering the pay table on a sucker side bet. It doesn't ruin the main game like 6:5 BJ does.

but they have e-Craps machine about 15 yards away.
it's 3/4/5x odds but Triple on field 12 and Buy vig on win only.
I would have thought the casino follow suit when table games were allowed a year after it opened.

They do that to entice more people to play the machines, which also give the correct payout if you bet, say, $3 on the 6 or 8. You'll never get paid $3.50 at a physical table.

If they offer 10x odds, with your $25 flat bet on the Don't Pass you should be able to lay $375 as your odds to win $250 on the 5.
$250 odds doesn't get your payout right and you'd love some money this way.
The best way to figure out Lay Odds on the Don't Pass
if x3,x4,x5 odds then it's only 6 times your original flat bet on the Don't
if 10x or whatever use, then just imagine your bet is the Pass Line and you're taking max odd. Whatever the payout for that max odds would be your Max Lay.

Another thing to do with the 5 and 9 and faced with figuring max darkside odds: make sure you can divide by 3. If you have to do this in your head you can make sure you can divide by 9. Perhaps you'll remember adding the digits of a number, if it adds up to 9, it is divisible by 9 [thus also 3]. So, you're at the table and 250 sounds good to you. But 2+5+0 = 7. You want to bet 252 instead. You can also see that 255 is 'right around the corner' and a good place to be [no longer divisible by 9 but clearly works]. The dealer is probably going to break that up into 240 + 15. They have to be good.
The dealers probably would like it if you go up to 270 , which is quickly seen to be divisible by 9.
after thinking about it, the thing to do is bet in 30 dollar increments. 150, 180, 210, etc
in other words, think divisible by 30, not divisible by 3, which is a pain in the
the dealers will appreciate it.
For 255, 2 + 5 + 5 = 12, 1 + 2 = 3.
You can use this also to tell if a number is divisible by 6 by checking that it is even and also divisible by 3.
