3/4/5x odds, $10min
I bring $1500. Goal is double or $0.
I play Passline/continuous come w/max odds.
I start pressing the 6/8 via place bets once I've hit 5 numbers.
in the middle of a good roll, I might be up $750 plus $300 in odds plus $250 on the 6/8 each.
That's +1550 with 1/2 of that profit still on the table.
Options:
1) take down the odds/place bets and walk away immediately?
ie: leave the flat bets as tips for the dealer
i say walk away immediately because i don't want to be there incase the same shooter keeps on rolling for 10+ more hits.
2) Let it ride till the 7 comes then walk away even if the 7 is the next roll?
technically, i hit my win goal of double my buy-in. i'm gambling 1/2 that $ ($800) that the rolls keep coming.
3) or a compromise and just take down the place bets?
i now have +$1250 on the rail. hope for a few more hits to get to $1500 then start pressing the 6/8 again?
4) or?
What would you do in this situation?

You could take down your odds of $300 plus your 6/8 for a max of $800 and add that to your tray of 750. Isn't the point of having a win goal to hit that number and walk away? And you say you double or leave with nothing. So if you are a rules based gambler, you should take it all down. What's the point of having those rules and constructs if you don't follow them?
Now, I'm going to pretend to be you with a 1500 buy-in, 750 profit in the tray and 800 on the table. I'd start reducing both my odds and place bets by say half which equals ~400. Then I'd have my buy-in, plus 1150 in profit on my rack. $400 action on the table. I'd start a 7 roll count and start looking for my SRR. Let's say you've had a good night to start since you're already up. $400 left, the closer I get to an SRR >5 I'm going to start pulling back even more. If I hit the 6/8, I'm taking the entire bet down regardless and splitting the other bet in half.
Rinse and repeat.
