Just got back from an overnighter and have decided it's the last time I'll play there over a Saturday night. I have never seen so many novices, drunks, and obnoxious players in all my life. In addition, it's mostly 20 somethings. There's nothing worse to me than people that don't know the game and late bettors. My mistake was not leaving the table and just walking over to Harrahs (they have the occasional character, but nothing like this). The cast of characters included.....

-a bunch of "don't" shooters cheering loudly and taunting the other shooters every time there was a "seven out"

-Some English nincompoop that kept screaming "ET, phone home"

-An extremely ugly, obese woman in a red dress that was hitting on the English guy and kept trying to talk to him while her girlfriend told her to do a little dance

-A woman that would not shut up about fantasy football and all the football players she knew

-A woman that didn't know wtf she was doing and kept asking me to tell her where to put her money

-A "don't" shooter that was bragging how he lost $4,000 at Harrah's and then explaining to a woman at the table that it was alright because he makes a lot of money and how he can afford to lose it. But that the rest of the guys at the table couldn't afford to lose the money they had lost (he also laughed at others every time they lost and said they should be betting like him). He kept mumbling his bets and the dealer just started refusing to take his money until he could figure out what he wanted to do and enunciate it.

-Tons of late bettors and people that hang their hands and beer bottles over the table

I was actually amazed that the pit bosses allowed half this shit to go on.

Anybody else ever engage in a game of craps here over the weekend?

That is so utterly annoying... play at a decent casino or don't play at all.

Agree. Although admittedly, I've encountered some wacky characters even at nice places like the Wynn. But their pit bosses don't let that kind of thing get out of hand (one pit boss told some clown his roll was over when he was taking 3-4 minutes to roll when he started asking each of his friends what number they needed before each roll). As I've gotten older, I find I have little patience for these idiots.

The report I got from Tahoe, is that the craps tables are fairly dead, with only a few players to be found, even in the evening. It sounds like this table was fairly full. Was there another table at Montbleu you could have moved to? It is sad because this property used to be a Caesars when Caesars and Harrah's were separate.

"ET, Phone Home!" ... I don't get it? Why was the Englishman making that call? Eleven and Twelve?

There were only two crap tables ($5 and $10)...the $5 table was packed and our became crowded within 20 minutes of me arriving. I have no idea what the significance was of the "ET, Phone Home" comment as I have never seen the movie.

Mont Blue is known for this. I am shocked you didn't mention the open Weed smoking in the halls. The sad thing is the ones that cant afford the $59 rooms at the 'blue stay across the street for $39 at the Horizon and then play at the 'blue because Horizon doesn't have table games.
