By now I'm sure most of you already know about the Interblock Organics Bubble Craps machines that are popping up at Casinos.
About 6 months ago, Caesars Windsor got a combination Sic Bo/Craps machine. I'm sure you guys are familiar with the machine so I'll spare the details unless anybody is interested.
Caesars Windsor is particularly cheap with Tier Credits earned on low vig games. For example, as mentioned in a different section of these boards, CW's 99.5% Pick 'Em Poker machines earn 1 Tier credit per $80 coin in.
The Interblock Organics Craps machine has a sticker on it saying 1 Tier Credit per $200 coin in. At first I was stunned. Then I thought maybe it was a typo. Then I got wondering what their definition of 'Coin In' is.
As a simple example, let's say the point is 6. I have a $5 Pass Line bet and $25 in odds behind it and no other money on the table. Lets say, hypothetically, the dice roll 5 times before a 7 out happens. How much 'Coin In' is that considered to be? I can think of 4 possibilities:
1) $150 ($30 x 5 bets made, with each roll being considered a separate bet).
2) $130 ($5 pass line bet counts once because it's a contract bet + $25 x 5, the odds can be considered a separate bet (push) for every roll because they can be picked up at any time)
3) $30 since that's all that was wagered for that sequence of rolls
4) $5 because free odds don't count towards Tier Score.
I would think #2 would seem the most fair, but then Casinos have never cared about being fair!
I've personally only ever played on live tables, but surely somebody on these boards must know how these machines work.

Assuming the points are managed the same way as every Aruze's Shoot to Win bubble craps unit I've seen, coin-in is recorded per resolved bet.
StW would record your example as a 30$ coin-in.

Okay, then by that logic, the $30 would also count as Coin-In right if the point was rolled (and the bet was won), right? Things would get complicated once you have a half dozen bets all over the board but what you say sounds logical.

Yep.
So, for example, if you had, and then rolled:
10$ Place on 6
10$ Place on 8
10$ Lay 10
6: 10$ (Win P6)
5: 0$ (Nothing resolved)
10: 10$ (Lose L10)
7: 20$ (Lose P6, P8)
for a total of 40$ coin-in on -30$ worth of bets, of which you won... +10.60$? (Should've picked 12$...)
Would just like to reiterate-- this is my experience with Shoot to Win units. I don't think I've ever seen Organic Craps anywhere yet.
