Assumptions:
2x odds table
$10 min
each unit is worth $10
Is there a way of calculating the optimal units to win before stopping? Assume always taking single or double odds on the pass line and 3 come bets. Reason I ask is I currently stop playing based on a number of factors, only one of them is current profit/loss. I am looking for a more definitive reason to stop (other than being out of money). Is there an optimal stop point?
Thanks.

You'd have to define optimal first. The probability of hitting any given stop point is inversely correlated with how much profit you would be walking away with, so the real question is "how often do you want to leave the table a winner?"

Well, what got me thinking was all the discussion about the revel promo and optimal stop points. I am curious if a similar thing exists for craps. If not, that's cool.

Without a loss rebate, the optimal stopping point is technically not to begin playing. But if a casino would offer a loss rebate on table games, then there would be an optimal point to maximize the benefit of the loss rebate.

That's what I figured. Thanks.

Check out A.P. Heat for some on Roulette, and Eliot did some for Blackjack and maybe Baccarat as well.

If you want to maximize your expected total win of a craps session, then the optimal win goal is zero. Walk away before you make your first bet and you'll always achieve it.
