If there is a meeting point and time, please let me know. Thanks.
Quote: WizardConsidering we won't have another x-x-x date until Jan 1, 2101, I would think I'd see better promotions around Vegas. Suncoast has 12x points on slots (6x on video poker), and $1212 for a bingo on B-12, but they offer better often. Anything else in Vegas going on for the big day? I'll never see another x-x-x date unless I live to 134.
Yeah, where are the strip clubs promotion on NO MORE XXX until 2101! COME INSIDE WHILE YOU CAN!!!
I doubled my puny bankroll yesterday, so I can join you guys. Teddy witnessed me yesterday being the ultra-conservative grinder trying to build back some cash. But I squeaked out enough to join ya'll.
I will let you guys pick the place, but try to pick it today. I know Teddy wants at least 5x odds and hopefully at $5 table.
I'm more picky about the tables than the odds myself.
I think we would have the most fun at Binions myself. But that's mostly because I enjoy the lip I get from the crew when they feel threatened by my shot.
I would LOVE to go to Binions and do my shot that they love so much with Teddy betting full odds along with as many other high rollers.
If we got lucky on my shot, Binions would probably throw us out of there and tell all the casinos to watch out for our crew! That would be so much fun!!!
The table with the ladies dealing would be fun, maybe.

Did I see you on TV once? You're a professional dice player right?! ;p

No I am research engineer, programmer, artist. Not a professional gambler. Even if I had a history of pulling down six figures a year in gambling income, I would still not consider myself a professional gambler.
If I could pull down a million or more in a year, I would consider myself a professional gambler.
I have never been on TV. Just a couple of amateur you tube videos is all.
Currently I'm down, but I was about even for the first two plus years of play.
I increased my bets last summer and I lost the first day that I did that.
I lost about half that much in the last six weeks. Aside from that day and the last six weeks, I've been even (ahead if you count comps). Not making anything significant.
Quote: AlanMendelsonSorry guys, can't make it. A client called late this afternoon for some work. I will be spending 12-12-12 making TV and not parlaying boxcars.
DUDE! WHERE ARE YOUR PRIORITIES?!?!?!
Surprisingly, they had already closed the NC Craps table, so I was left playing regular craps.
Played for 2 hours, won, then drove home.
I chuckled.

Hehe.. Maybe it was a defensive move to keep the table from getting cleaned out...
They were making green chip bets in the field (which paid DOUBLE not triple on the 12).
While they were doing this I was telling them, "you know that's not the best bet here."
The guy I was talking to responded, "no don't worry. I have a pretty serious gambling habit."
The two guys went on to talk about how recklessly they gamble, and laughed about it.
So while I'm trying to tell them about the edge on the field at the Cosmo, I give in and I say, "yeah that only matters in the long run, in the short run you can get them!"
It was right then that the first guy threw a black chip and says "hundred dollar twelve."
It hits.
I had to keep my comments to myself after that.
Later, he did it again, and his friend went in with him. They both hit. The way the dice resolved too was pretty crazy. It bounced off someone's arm at the end of the table.
After they both got paid on that, I said to the first guy, "you guys need to go have dinner and take a break" to which there was no response.
I didn't want to watch them lose it all, so I left. But I came back the next day and got the trip report from the girl who was dealing to them.
The second guy hit the boxcars for another $3000, and they both left with over $6000 each.
I'm sure that they have lost all that money by now from the way they were gambling, but if you could get that lucky and stop forever, that is absolutely the way to play the game.
To clarify I have seen bigger wins, and maybe even bigger percentage wins, but nothing really as notable as this one as a combination of big wins that are also a big percentage of what these guys started with.
