I walked through Harrah's once, and a guy had already hit all 6 individual points, but NO ONE had the fire bet.
It hit for 4 that session too while I was playing.
As a shooter, I have never hit the Firebet before. I have made 3 points and established the 4th Point countless times but usually PSO immediately on the 4th Point attempt.
I HATE when I make 4 - 6 unique points on a Non Firebet table thinking about how much more money I could have made if the table had the Firebet.
Quote: JamieVI hit all 6 points for the firebet Father's Day weekend at Caesar's Palace. I had 10 dollars on it and got 7,500 (after taxes) 5 other players had 10 dollars on it too...pretty damn exciting! My finace has hit 5 points before...I have been at a table where a first time shooter hit 5 points too. I have always been on a table at Caesars where at least 4 pointer has been made. Something about Caesars and firebets...happens a lot there!
Damn, that is some expensive taxes. I only ever put a dollar on it, and I've hit a 6 pointer twice. I never make full value on them, however, as I always lay the remaining numbers when they come up. This has paid off more times then it has failed, as I have hit numerous 5 pointers and oodles of 4 pointers.

I was in Atlantic City last Wednesday -- thought that 7/11 was a good date to play craps, though it didn't turn out that well. At the Atlantic Club, I rolled a 4-point Fire Bet on which I had wagered a buck. I probably bet $5 or $6 overall on the Fire Bet that day, and the green chip for that one roll kept me on the positive side for all-time Fire Bet wagers. It's not a good bet, but I'll probably continue to bet it occasionally. It's a good fantasy bet, a bit like the lottery.
Why don't you guys place the Fire Bet Maximum ($5 or $10 ) when You are shooting the dice?
I have hit 5 of 6, 4 times, 6 of 6 once and several 4 of 6's and have always played max dollars on my tossing. So far in the past 4 years that I begas to play craps, I am ahead on betting the firebet.
There is nothing more sinking than hitting 5 of 6 getting paid 5 greens vs what it could have been.
Just my opinion.

That said, considering it's a single bet that's in play for the duration of the shooter's turn, I don't mind putting a buck on it.

Call it coincidence but I have bet the Firebet on a specific shooter over a 1 year period; he has shot the Dice 3 times and hit the Firebet (4 Point) all 3 times. I will make sure to ALWAYS put $5 everytime he shoots when we are on a table together...

I have been playing enough craps lately to agree with this completely. I think I've wagered on it twice, both times losing. On tables I've played at, I've seen a 4-pt once and a 5-pt twice (both 5 points were working the sixth before the seven). I've NEVER seen all 6 made.
I figure if it hits, I'm a Pass line with odds, come with odds player, so I'll be doing pretty well if 6 points hit.
Oh, sure, if you've got your money spread around, you're gonna be raking it in when it hits whether you made the Fire Bet bet or not.Quote: TiltpoulI figure if it hits, I'm a Pass line with odds, come with odds player, so I'll be doing pretty well if 6 points hit.
I just figure it's one lousy buck, so why not...
Anwyay, we also called tons of numbers and repeated points to boot, and it was a shame that most guys "same betted,' while only one guy pressed his bets moderately. One of our master players was missing in action tonight, and he would have pressed all his place bets and odds to black in about 10 rolls with his sixth sense, and he would have left with $30K + had he been there.
Anyway, one left with $3,000 and another with $2,000, with at least half contributed by the non-stop calling of numbers - not shabby.
Quote: DocIt's a good fantasy bet, a bit like the lottery.
That's a fair comparison. it's more expensive (arguably), and pays much less, but it's more likely to hit than the lottery.
I tried it a few times at Palace Station, but didn't even come close. Next trip, though, I want to find and All Tall, All Short, etc etc etc bet.

I don't play the Sharp Shooter bet either, but the other day, I was at a table by myself. I was either 7ng out quickly, or I would get at least 3 points made. On my one monster roll that got me up for the night, I think I made 6 points (I know 5 for sure, but since I get paid on all numbers the way I play anyways, I lose track).
Oh well, I still did well, and the extra 30-1 or 50-1 would have been great. But if I had been playing $5 on it (the only way it's worth something), I wouldn't have gotten to that roll, with all my 7 outs. before that.
I was shooting from the Don'ts. Small sample size but I seem to have better luck when I shoot from the Don'ts. Hit 6 total Points (4 unique points) with a $5 (Max) bet on the Firebet. I placed the Point even though I was shooting from the Don'ts; I made a tactical error by laying big odds against the 4th Point. I usually get to 3 unique points on a good roll on a Firebet table but had never hit 4 points so I layed heavy odds against the 4th point and was upset when I made the point very quickly.
Another interesting fact, after hitting a total of 6 points, I threw a 7 on the Comeout roll and paused when the dealer took away my Come Bets...for some strange reason I did not remember throwing a single Comeout roll "7" the entire roll. The Pit Boss looked at me looking baffled and commented "Yes, that's the first 7 you have thrown the entire roll". I was very upset because then I realized that I had thrown away lots of $$$ "protecting my come bets" with the Hop 7's on the Comeout roll. I did not establish a 5th unique point which I was praying I would because I would have layed heavy odds against that point and be guaranteed to make some decent money.
Can't wait to update this post with my first 5 or 6 unique point Fire Bet hit.....
My fifth point was the 6, then on the come out another six, and a couple of rolls later the devil. The point I needed was the 8. I have a problem with the inside numbers.
My points came this way: 4, 5, 9, 10, 6.
This was my second time hitting 5 points. The other time was at the Rio about five years ago.
Being realistic, you can lose a lot of money on the fire bet because even four passes rarely hits.
Great job!Quote: AlanMendelsonThis was my second time hitting 5 points. The other time was at the Rio about five years ago.

So keep us informed about your 2017 trips for the next 5 point hit :)
(unless you know you will hit the 6 points real soon)

This bet is like VP play.
The distribution is highly skewed for a few bets.
At 100 bets one has about an 18% chance of being ahead.
Looks real bad but the high variance gives one some chance to come out ahead... for the thrill factor of it all!
After 1000 such bets, one has about a 25% chance of being ahead. Not too bad.
Of course one has the same 25% chance of being down about 400 units
and you bet $10 each time!
You are making me dizzy...........
Looks like a 14% chance of being up 400 units. That feels better.
I have hit 4 numbers one time. I had $2 on it.
I hit the 6, 8 then 9 and 4 real fast, maybe only 12-14 rolls. Went out on the 6.
This week to be exact at Bill's Casino across from CP.
Continued Good Luck

Quote: AlanMendelsonI got damn lucky and hit five of six this weekend at Caesars. I was the only one who had a fire bet, $10. Paid $2500. After that nearly everyone on the table was making the bet, no one made more than 3 points.

Congrats on the 5 point Firebet hit! Looking forward to your post when you mention hitting all 6 for the $10,000 hit.
What a "High!".
At this point, are you ahead or behind betting the fire? Do you bet max on yourself and just toss a ramdom
$1 on various shooters if the mood hits you or play on all shooters?
Congrats Alan,

My guess is I am negative on the Fire Bet. Heck, Ive been at a table only once when all six numbers hit (Rio and the max was $5). I threw five numbers twice -- and Ive never been at a table when anyone else had five numbers.
I usually see four numbers once in about 50% of the trips I make. I've never had a trip when four numbers were thrown twice.
So those of you who are seeing the fire bets hit more often, congratulations. I wish I had that kind of luck.
