6deck
S17
DOA
DAS
In the Wizard's survey, they mention there is 6deck, $100minimum, S17, DAS but, I would like to know if this game allows double on anything (DOA)
Any help would be truly appreciated
Thank you in advance!
Good luck!

Quote: scottndindyI was out there in February and there were no double down restrictions in the high limit area. $100 games can be found but a lot of times on the weekends and when busy the games can go up to 200 minimum. If you are out on the main floor make sure to watch the felt as it isn't uncommon to have a 100 minimum on a h17 game.
That's what Caesar's AC does in their high-limit room. They raise the $100 minimum to $200. I have been at a $100 table with 2 or 3 others and they changed to $200 once the shoe was finished. Despite everyone at the table informing them they were leaving once it switched to $200, they refused to keep it at $100. Even more head-scratching was the fact that there were two other $200 minimum table completely open - nary a player. I inquired of the PB why they refused to keep a $100 table open where they would have 3 or 4 players prospectively playing the whole night rather than opening yet another $200 table and he replied "It is what it is"
WOW!
Check the CBJN for the dd S17 , Aria had it for 25 min during the day( offer the same game for 100 min. as well- as will most strip casinos) - Good luck !!!
Tropicana has a good DD for 50 min. ,.14 HE( thats the only DD S17 game I see w/ RSA)
Aria (same game but no RSA) for 25 min. not bad !!
The rest of the DD S 17 games are 100 min or more( no RSA), that makes 25 or 50 , look dam good !!
I have played all of these, but have started heading a bit off the strip for DD h17, 5 min. .40 HE
South Point, Silverton, Gold Coast, Palace Station,Orleans
I can't recall playing any tables in LV that did not allow double on anything.
Quote: aceofspadesHi everyone - so, I have not been to Vegas in about 5 years ( way before I started counting ) and would like to know if anyone has any information beyond the Wizard's survey about the blackjack games at Caesar's Palace. I am looking for the following rules:
6deck
S17
DOA
DAS

There are a LOT of tables in party pits that have restrictive rules on doubling... mostly at Caesars properties. For example, at Caesars Palace, the rules are:
8-deck
H17
Double on 10,11 only
No DAS
No RAS
Bj pays 6:5
Table mins are usually around $10-$15. And the tables are usually full... sad
caesars is a greedy company that deserves to be avoided.
unless you think 2.2% edge in blackjack is worth it.

Gee, looking for a fair game ? " Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency? "

WongBo - my host at Caesars told me that the $100 tables have 6D, DOA, DAS, S17 - is she incorrect?
they may offer those rules at $100, but mohegan sun, CT offers those rules plus late surrender at $10,
so i mainly focus my attention there lately.
As a protest, I now restrict myself to $5 BJ, just to piss off those CHEAP bastards.
I have friends who play $5 or $10minimum and get red hot with a good count - then they take their winnings and move on up to bigger denominations and end up hitting a bad variance - and losing it - so it takes hours to build up winnings then minutes to lose it. I like to maintain the $100minimum - I did not mean to make it sounds snobby - canI ever be forgiven?
It's just risk versus reward. that's why some people scream at a win of $20 and others yawn at a $2,000 win.
Who's under more pressure, the poker player who can afford to lose $20,000 if he calls, or the guy who who goes hungry
tomorrow if he is wrong on his $20 call.
Speaking of my hustling days, I once was playing $20 8 ball with $6 in my pocket. In the 1960's on Padre Island, no less.
And no ferry until the AM ! LOL
