Random question from someone who has never seen the games where the player can handle the cards.
Is it correct that the initial 2 card are dealt face down and are only seen by the player until right at the end of the hand? If so, what do they do if a player continues to hit even after busting?

In a "pitch" game where you handle the cards...you pick them up with one hand. If you desire a hit...you gently scrape the cards toward you to take another card. If you bust....you lay the cards down face up. A "cool" player (and blackjack is not a team sport so they're not obligated to do so)will hold the cards facing up before tucking them under their chips if he/she wants to stand (so that other players know what has been dealt).

To answer your question more directly...the player can pick them up with one hand as soon as they're dealt. I was just saying a cool player can then hold them out where everyone can see them (even tough they're dealt "face down.")

Interesting question.Quote: Aussie...what do they do if a player continues to hit even after busting?
I doubt it comes up often, but not only will the casino warn you not to do that, but, so will the other players. And, depending on what the cards were that you took but couldn't use, the other players may tell you EXACTLY what they think of you. (Note: It won't be complementary.)
I invented a few casino games. Info:
