Hi everyone, I went up to my local indian casino recently and noticed that they had video blackjack that paid out 2 to 1 on blackjacks with the following rules:
Single Deck
No Doubling after Splitting
Aces can be Split only Once
Doubling restricted to totals of 10 or 11
Assuming that this was a fair machine, I was wondering, what kind of an edge would the player have for such a game given the 2 to 1 payout? Assuming this is a "fair" game of course, as I said earlier, this was at an Indian Casino and it seems hard to believe to me that they would offer such a player favored game. Especially since they do not offer cashback for video poker players.

99.99999999999999% likely that the machine does not pay out 2 to 1. It pays out 2 FOR 1.

It was probably "2 for 1", a.k.a. even money or 1 to 1. If it truly paid 2 to 1 on naturals, that gives you a player edge of at least 1%.

I wish it was actually true!
