Counting Cards but Vegas Manager Breaks the Law - Pinkman (for the mask he wears on camera)

I appreciate the post ty.
That said I find it a little depressing how dominant card counting is as the best known form of AP.
The edge is tiny, requires a huge bankroll to make any serious money, flux can cause losing streaks of over a year, the casinos know about it. It hasn't been anywhere close to the best form of AP for almost 3 decades. I am not sure why it persists in public media so much.
Casinos could see this as irresponsible betting, never mind that they are betting high with a very slight player edge. The typical complaint of casinos hate winners doesn't seem to apply to certain players.
Quote: ChumpChangeSome of these teams/individuals rack up 5 to 6 figures pretty rapidly on their travels. But these 15-30 minute sessions are career killers when they end in back offs. But as the first video at the top of the thread shows, losing 5 to 6 figures is also possible pretty quickly.

Agree with you about the sessions and variance. It makes for a good youtube video though which is maybe the whole point here.. You can make any losses back on courses.
The focus seems to be on absolute session win rather than net profit much less expenses. When you factor those in these guys don't actually make that much per hour.

When you don't want the world to know what your left hand is doing, it's important to shine a light on your right hand. If everyone concentrates on your ability to count cards, they are not seeing the clumps you are playing.

Fair point. Yeah this stuff benefits me and probably you a lot in the short term.
But in the longer-term I just wonder if we are losing out on a lot of exciting new tech, because the digital town square is dominated by this type of thing rather than something that might go somewhere.

If this isn't a theatrical production, he have to be a headless horseman to expect that he won't be identified. The casinos easily compared their video recordings from the cameras and established his identity. I think the casino banned him not because he was trying to count cards, but first for hidden video recording.
