I bought the software and ran a basic hilo simulation with ill 18 and fab 4, 6 decks, H17, and the standard rules. After 10 billion rounds I get back some results that show a 0.85% advantage at a true 1 which you might think looks very high for that count. It also gives an edge of -.5% at true 0, and a whopping 5% at a true 5. I did another simulation for 2 hands and it came back as a .95% advantage for a true 1. The included "HiLo Sweet 16 & Fab 4" simulation gives a 0.28% advantage at a true 1. What gives? If I apply the exact same 5-100 bet spread for each mine and the included sims, my EV per hour is $5 and $20 respectively. With my simulation, the ideal bet spread is $5 minimum, $25 at a true 1, and $100 at a true 2 and above. That just seems outrageous. Why would these sims be so different?

richodude,
These results do seem puzzling.

I echo that CVData is super confusing and extremely user-unfriendly. The ugly sim assistant with a creepy voice doesn't help either. I'm still learning and struggling through how to get accurate sims.

Wait a min, CVCX? Isn't CVData the simulator for what you're trying to do?

Does the assistant have RBF, too?
It’s a dog eat dog world.
…Or maybe it’s the other way around!

Solution: I had use half decks for the divisor selected. I thought this would round to the half deck when deciding how many decks were left. instead this divided the RC by the amount of half decks left effectively halving my TC aka my true 1 was actually a true 2

Try the "exact card" divisor, it worked for me in terms of getting an more accurate simulation
