betting 1 dollar on average but have gotten to the "eff its" where i went all in when i had 5 dollars left to play... got lucky and kept playing
and i should say i made 30 bucks

It happens. Interestingly if you were to play a casino-like fruit machine, for each 100 spins you have about
- Ahead : 18.9%
- Double : 6.7%
- 5x : 0.1%
So if you win a reasonable prize it will keep you going quite a long time.
As an aside another interesting fact is how much you should play to have the best chance of being ahead. I guess it's a tradeoff between increasing your chances of winning a jackpot (in this case the feature can pay £2,400) and playing too often and letting the House Edge take over. Naturally your expected loss increases the more you play.

It actually kept going for another hour
I made it up to 70 in profit
Started to up my bet to 5 dollars then variance kicked in and I ended up losing it all haha but I felt it lasted a long time and I was highly entertained
By the way someone said slot fruit machines and I was playing an online blackjack by igt
