Hello Wizard,
I have another question about a side bet we can make in Holland Casino (they use 6 decks with a shuffle machine the shuffles after each round).
It's like this: every rounds the side bet is €0,50. If you get 3 hearts of 7 you get the best jackpot. If you get 777 in spades, clover or diamands you also got a jackpot, and also, if you have a coloured 777, you will get a small jackpot.
The jackpot grows till someone gets the jackpot, then the jackpot will begin again with small money.
The last time I came it was like this:
Golden jackpot (777 hearts): €45.000,-
Silver jackpot (777 spades, clover or diamonts): €11.000,-
Bronz jackpot (777 coloured): €1.000,-
and you always get a prize when you have:
Any 777 (not coloured): €150,-
77 hearts: €75,-
77: €15,-
Can you calculate the house edge.. or maybe more usefull, calculate the point that this side-bet becomes statistically interesting (were it has an break-even point or advantage for the player).
Thank you very much!
