That looks a little jagged to be a slash its more like cracking from running it with low air pressure in the dry Vegas heat. Its rather common. You probably didn't notice the air was getting low since they are low profile. I would check my other tires so this does not happen again. There is no reason you shouldn't be able to change your own tires going forward. Get a low profile floor jack, lug wrench and a spare tire that all should cost less than $150 if you buy the tire and rim from one of them Mexican tire shops you see all around town.
I noticed I had run over an industrial staple the other day after I got home. No big deal, Ill just change and repair it myself, or so I thought. Unfortunately the lug wrench was too thick and wouldn't fit in the hole. I couldn't find a socket that would fit either. I said F it and just called out a mobile mechanic. He only charged $40 bucks to repair it.

I was going to bring that up, but decided not to. Not only that but they won't tow for 7 days. I actually have first hand experience with that because my old Saturn just had its brakes go and I needed it towed 12 miles. I did aaa premium and I had to wait 7 days for the tow. This was 2 weeks ago.
So the continued to slash it as you drove. Why bother doing that when the air was already out. Were they running alongside your car with a sword? First off, I never treat anyone like 'crap'. I have anger bursts that last for 5-10 minutes and unfortunately I take it out on the forums in the case of blackjack. This happens to me a lot whether its through competitive video gaming or blackjack, Ive just always had a real problem at handling losing at anything, but its only because i have such a strong desire to win at everything so a lot of people cant understand where im coming or maybe some do. I never have been able to lose humbly or just rake it on the chin no matter how old i get.
I dont know where you ever got the idea im a bad person in real life though. I also never said my parents were horrible people, but just in the way they judged me on what I was doing with the casino stuff and how they couldnt understand it even when I tried to explain it to them.

Some details i left out that might help solve why the tire popped. 4 months ago i hit a curb pretty badly by palace station. You know, the 3 left lanes where you turn left onto the freeway by palace station, not sure if its i15 or 95 still trying to memorize the roads here, i think its i15. Right before it split into 3 lanes i hit the front of that while trying to get to the left all the way from the right.
Dont remember the last time i did something like that but it was pitch dark and during that rainstorm we had this summer in early july so I couldnt see anything. Keep in mind the only accident i had in my life that was my fault was 10 years ago. Another one a year or so before, was a grandma that merged into my lane all when i first got my license way back when.
I also noticed that the tire was low on air pressure the last couple of days and im not sure if the curb hit was related and that it finally just 'broke' inside today while going over the shitty roads we have downtown.

I got a free rental. When it was time to return rental Enterprise told me they will drive me for free to the shop if it is 10 miles or less..... google maps had it at.... 9.8 miles! All during this mess all I kept thinking was that it is only time and money: I wasn't hurt, and was lucky I had friends who could drive me back to Buffalo. One of the guys we golf with had just had a craniotomy for a bad brain tumor, and I was VERY AWARE how pathetic any whining about my trivial situation would have been. So my little accident was a good reminder about how lucky I am, not how unlucky I was.
My fiancee had a tire blow out. She was 15 miles or so from home, between work and home. She felt she could not drive on it but was on a major road with lots of retail stores, and one was a tire shop. She pulls in, and they say it is not salvageable. And they don't have an appropriate replacement in the shop. Her car, a sporty Benz, does not come with a spare! So I pick her up, and give her my car to go to work the next day. I have a friend drive me to work, and I take an Uber after work to pick up her car. Basically, we were presented with a situation, and figured out the best way to minimize the inconvenience, not eliminate it, of course, but minimize it....
Until this thread happened I doubt I ever would have thought of the tire again. I know I will take a lot of good natured ribbing about my accident for years to come.
By the way, I made the best decision to just go play golf...... I eagled the signature hole at Peek N Peek, the course is used for the Web.com tour........ Driver, pitching wedge....

I actually thought of ZK the other day. I saw this guy who was maybe a little younger, like 21-22, at Flamingo. I think he had CP. His grandfather, I assume, helped him out of his wheel chair. The guy could kind of walk if someone was holding him up. They slowly made their way to the bathroom where gramps held him up so he could use the urinal. I guess he just wanted to go to the bathroom semi-normally. I thought about how the most boring, throw away day of my life would be a dream come true for him.
But then I thought, "this kid doesn't know how lucky he is. Imagine if his life was cursed. Imagine if he had to endure free college and free trips to Europe. What if someone vandalized his car, by giving it a slow leak and then hoping that he never repaired the leak and wound up with a flat tire?"
