This happened last year, and I just wanted to recall and remember it with you all.

It all started out with a youtube video. I had been watching about ways to cheat. I had, without my knowledge been watching a video about hole carding.

The trick - the dealer accidentally reveals the next card within the deck.

ALOT of dealers will always pre-deal the next card to be fast and efficient where i play.

The video i watched - had a very specific play - or at least warned of a very specific play - which i successfully exploited - out of sheer luck.

The dealer accidentally reveals an ace. The video i watched said this is the most dangerous scenario for a casino as my advantage is very high.

So i see this ace. and the dealer doesnt deal it because the guy who was "hitting" decides not to hit for some reason.

The dealer does not require a hit on his hand.

I throw an all in which was maybe 50 bucks, as i was not up on luck that night, except for this situation.

Blackjack.

I didnt think the same situation, that i had previously seen on a youtube video, considered an advantage play would ever present itself to me.

Heh, to hole carding.

I was playing Pai Gow Poker and I was about to be dealt the first hand. Dealer flashed a joker and I said “Wait, is it too late for me to play the bonus?” I was playing off and on for $1 or $2.

Dealer said ok, so I put $5 out there.

And guess what I got? A joker paigow.

Just kidding. 4 aces! Dealer got a good tip for that one.

I would not have told that story if Paigowdan were still alive. RIP Dan.

Heatmap, not sure why you were looking up cheering videos :p but what you saw and did is actually a form of next carding, since it’s not in fact one of the dealers hole cards =). It’s still a very estute play to catch and then have the balls to shove, but yes, your edge (if memory serves me correctly) is 51% when you have a first card known as an Ace. I don’t play enough blackjack anymore but I do still play it from time to time and am still awaiting this scenario :p. I never seem to be 1st base whenever I have seen a face or something as the next. And asking some guy to sit out so I can table max that spot on a lucky feeling has never worked out for some reason lol.

Keep your eyes and ears out for that extra EV!
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

cheating is just another word that makes people not want to understand what specific groups of people consider to be against the rules.

I need to see all sides of the story whether considered good or bad, and googling words such as cheating or understanding how people have cheated in the past, is just adding to the tricks up my sleeve. This will allow me to be more flexible in the types of games and amounts of money i can make, in my opinion.

Like i said, i understand it was luck completely, as i had just watched the video, and the situation happened to happen the same day. LUCKY as hell is all haha

One of my favorite BJ memories was essentially the opposite of this (dumb, not smart play). Guy sitting in first position has been betting $25/hand. Time to shuffle and he leaves his bet out. Decks are shuffled and dealer burns a card, turning it up for the table--it's an Ace. Guy took the fact that an Ace was the burn card as some sort of omen from the gods (rather than realizing it was the single worst possible burn card) and confidently smacks down another green chip to up his bet to $50.
If anyone gives you 10,000 to 1 on anything, you take it. If John Mellencamp ever wins an Oscar, I am going to be a very rich dude.
