The truth is that I got a little bit disappointed on that 6 changes that appear Vs the game were the dealer takes his 2 cards at the beginning and he is allowed to peek for a Blackjack.
The corrected strategy says for example:
-Player surrenders from 14 Vs 10
-8,8s and 7,7s is also surrender Vs a 10 and Hit 8,8s Vs an Ace
-11 is Hit instead of Doubling Vs a 10
...etc
Could you please give some advice and more information about the difference between these two types of games/strategies?
Kind Regards
Paul
Hi Paul, Welcome to the forum.Quote: paulcyI play Blackjack in Europe were in most of the Casinos the Dealer takes one card at the beginning and his second and more cards come at the end, after the players pick. Recently I discovered your sites, which I must say they are a piece of Art, and I found and studied the correct strategy to play my game. The games are played with 6 decks, surrender is allowed in all dealer's cards except an Ace and you are allowed to split any card up to 4 times if I remember correct. Doubling is also allowed with all cards.

The big difference between our European No Hole card and No Peeking rules is that if dealer has a ten card, we can't discount the possibility that he has a blackjack against our crummy pair of eights etc. So, we are in danger of splitting 88 and chucking down more money, where with a US game, the dealer would peek and reveal his BJ ( or not have one) thus saving us the money. The European games generally have a worse edge because of no peek ( about 0.7% ) compared to better US rules at about 0.4%
Are you in UK or mainland Europe? I've never seen surrender in UK.
If in UK, which chain of casinos?
In that game, never double or split vs ten or ace, except with AA v T.
You have already outlined the correct surrender strategy.
