If someone found this promo at a small casino how valuable is this promo?

BJ pays 1:1
Split only once
$50 max bet for promotion
DAS
double 10/11 only

Promo offers 10% back on original bet amount for any winning hand (no pushes).

Assuming $50 bets how valuable is this promo?

You win about 48% of the time, so 4.8% advantage.

Blackjack pays 1:1 -2.27%
Double 10,11 -.18%
Split once -.1%
You don't say anything about H/S17, decks, so we'll assume -.4% HA

1.8% advantage, so might be worth $50-200/hr depending on speed.

Using the probabilities from Blackjack Appendix 4 which has better rules, I get a house edge of 1.329%.

Win is 42.22%, a tie is 8.48%, and a loss is 49.10%

.4222 * 55 = 23.221
.0848 * 0 = 0
.4910 * -50 = -24.55

23.221 + 0 + -24.55 = -1.329

Those win/loss probabilities are with better rules, so if I am correct the return for the game in OP would be a bit less.

My method to calculating this could be flawed ... so I welcome anyone to set me straight :)

I calculated the game being negative about 2.4% before promo so we are relatively close.

Assuming a $50 bet that is a loss of $1.20 per hand. The promo pays $5 about 44% of the time so I think that is worth $2.20 per hand for a net profit of about $1 a hand which is very close to your 1.8%.

Thank you

I don't think you method accounts for the wins from doubles and splits.

So you only get the bonus on the amount you profit on each hand? Not what the win amount the machine shows correct (Obviously, you are talking about video BJ)? I wonder if they are actully going to know the difference.

I assume you would do more aggressive doubling?

hopefully, they don't use Chinese prison chips.

I think the bonus is a flat $5 on a $50 max bet when you win the hand.

Ooops, you're correct. I did a proper spreadsheet with Wiz's probabilities and the numbers match what tongni said (assuming 6 decks S17).

Again I appreciate any comments/corrections (trying to get better at calculating these things).

I think something like this has to be calculated from scratch. The basic strategy charts were all developed with no promo 10% bonus for winning your hand. The strategy for some hands will switch from double down to hit/stand (if double down is only a slight advantage, the 10% bonus could turn that around).
