Let's say they "majorly" introduced 6/5 1 year ago (2016)... Then I'll say 5 years, 2021. Extra kicker for killing the game of blackjack in the year 2021, of course.Quote: sidthesquidand if not when will 3-2 become 50$ or higher minium bet??
There is always a place where things survive: bookstores, coffee shops, cigar bars, cabarets ... and casinos wherein a square deal is valued by all and MBAs are banished.
The sloe gin fizz will never disappear entirely, the traditional flowering and deflowering place, the arboretum, lingers on, the quiet bar wherein 'double and redouble' quietly echoes, the cabaret wherein fashions from the thirties are valued, the songs of hashish are sung, heirlooms are traded and life continues ever onward.
Some casinos will keep 3:2 because patrons will value it and some casinos will actually start to value their patrons again some day.
Quote: BlackjackGuy123never in fact in the future blackjack will pay 7:4!
I've been paid 10:4 numerous times on a blackjack. 😎
Eventually, it will go the way of faro and whist.
Quote: rsactuaryAt some point in time in the future, someone will decide it would be a great marketing gimmick to offer 3:2 BJ.
Cache Creek in California already does - and uses S17 as a marketing gimmick as well.
Quote: ZenKinGIt's never going to go away, at least not in the hi limit area. Casinos aren't stupid. They know if they offer 6/5 in hi limit, players are really going to start to notice how much they're actually being screwed. Pay a ploppy 6/5 on a $15 wager and they wont know what hit them. Pay a ploppy 6/5 on a $500 bet, red flags are going to be going off in their heads.
Not true. Went to Toledo yesterday and a gentleman was betting $100+ on 6:5 when 3:2 was just on the other side of the pit! I even mentioned this to him and he just smiled and kept playing the 6:5! No advantage play going on either.
Quote:When will 3-2 become extinct?
As soon as they can figure out how to get away with paying 1-1!! :D

He was probably thinking: "Why would I want to play that?? 6 is more than 3! Stupid tourist...."
Or maybe he just had a crush on the dealer.
