Yeah, I definitely see this replacing regular blackjack which is a rinse and repeat game (even to the ploppies). This is blackjack with a few odd twists and turns that seem pretty fun and interesting. I hope this game does well.

Thanks for the video and the basic strategy, Mike!
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

Very interesting game. I love it. Can't wait to play it. Any updates on placements? beyond the 4 placements mentioned in the WOO article?

The extra complexity will mean more player mistakes - so effective house edge will be larger for that reason. Still it looks like fun, regular BJ can be sooo boring.

The gameplay itself looks great.

But, that's a horrible logo, and a silly name. If walking through a casino, and only seeing that sign notifying "Down Under Blackjack" with that logo, I'd keep walking. I'd have no clue what any of it were. Which is a shame, because it looks fun.

Rumor has it that it will appear at Table Mountain Casino in the Fresno California area soon.

I can稚 think of a decent alternative name that even remotely describes the game. This name does make a reasonable attempt at that. Add the fact that the inventors are from Australia, and that name is a no-brainer.

The logo could use some work. But it does a good job of playing off the three colors. So if you already know of the game, the logo works. Not so much for newbies...

Understatement of the year. No one has a clue. (which included myself until Wizard did the basic strategy).

I'm sure the sharp players can get BS down pat in a few days. For me, it took a week. Romes could probably learn it in ten minutes.

Interesting. That place is packed on weekends. I wish they had a hotel.

They have a large table game section, and I bet they have at least eight Spanish 21 tables. Maybe more.

I'm still mad at them for taking out the Game Makers with Pick'em on them that were there since forever. But they have some decent video poker, too.

I'd imagine the inventor being Australian is the only reason it was named Down Under, not because that describes the function of the game. That sign does the game no justice in terms of getting people over to the table from a distance.

I can't think of a better name either.

A better name would simply be Hole-Card blackjack. This would immediately get all novices and APs heads turning to see exactly what this game is about. Hole card APs will feel like theyre in heaven and novices and degenerates will think this game is so easily beatable because they dont understand the math behind dealer bust rates.

All in all, this is an interesting blackjack variant but highly vulnerable to an AP if the rules are similar to regular blackjack
Any private business open to the PUBLIC (ie. droned out casinos) cannot have a criminal trespass enforced against an individual without GOOD CAUSE (Disruptive or Disorderly conduct). You will never go to prison for being thrown out of a casino for legal advantage play and then returning because it's simply unconstitutional 'as applied' to the individual. 'As applied' constitutional issues must FIRST be raised in DISTRICT COURT (trial court) to have it thrown out. You CANNOT raise it on APPEAL This is the best kept secret in the world of casinos not just in Vegas but everywhere in the country. Thank me later.

Hi ZenKing. If you haven't seen this game spread yet, I invite you to give it a spin BEFORE you learn Wizard's Basic Strategy. Get back to me and tell me if you got a headache. lol It is not an easy game at first.
