Last Thursday, when I should have been putting in half-point parlay cards, I noticed a side bet on blackjack on a table game machine at the Mirage. It pays based on the number of aces between the player's and dealer's first two cards. For all the rules and analysis, please visit my new Lucky Aces page.
I welcome the amateur mathematicians to check my math. I welcome all to submit questions, comments, and especially corrections.
The question for the poll is would you play Lucky Aces (multiple votes allowed) ?

It has seemed to me that the majority of all these jive-ass side bets on table games have been in the 7-8% HE range, which is plenty bad enough. I wonder why whoever dredged this particular corpse out of the river thought that a 15% HE would be just swell.
I in particular laugh at the miracle of all four Aces paying a paltry 500-1.

This is a rehash of an old side bet, and it's very countable, hence the bumped-up house edge.

Probably shuffled every hand being that it's on a machine.

That's what I was going to say.

Then why are there so many peanuts in cans of mixed nuts?

Not in mine. I pay extra for the "no peanut" cans. :)
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Maybe it was another stupid Supreme Court decision like the is a tomato a fruit or vegetable decision. Didn't know they were exist botanists.
