Had anyone else have experiences like this. I mean I was lucky that I parlayed it back on baccarat and walked away being even but the double deck slaughter is so brutal.
I'm giving you double points for the the title of the thread.Quote: dajakestaI can't count so I know the odds do not favor me, but i tried to find the game with the lowest house edge so I wandered to double deck. From wizard's calculator, the double deck house edge is around 0.45% compared to the 6 deck which is around 0.53%. However, I seem to be winning more on the multi deck and get slaughtered on the double deck. It felt like the dealer would flip a 10 up most of the time no matter if I played, didn't play or played 2 hands. It felt awful losing 24 units in a matter of 2 shoes. I followed stone cold BS. This is literally blackjack in general... There are swings of variance (luck) that counters and non-counters will expereince alike. It sucks to face a dealer 10 every hand... To make 19 and have the dealer get 20... To make 20 and have the dealer hit 21. It does happen. My teammate and I had 300 hours of play where we just got (non-literally) molested by pretty much every dealer we faced. The difference though is we knew we had a winning game, so we had to push through the hours/hands to get to the real expected value.Quote: dajakesta...Had anyone else have experiences like this. I second that.
Quote: AmleeYes, I played a $15 DD table just a few hours ago in the Midwest and lost $475 in 20 minutes. Opened up by losing the first 6 hands. Barely even got to spread. Just kept losing. Lost my doubles. Count warranted double or tripling the bet and I lost most of those. Dealer would get 15s and 16s and hit the soft card to make a 19, 20, or 21. Lost probably 80-85% of my hands. But I went through basically exactly what you just described. Walked away a big-time loser today. That is the game. Everyone, including myself, needs a real bankroll. Ugh.
Atleast you have 15 dollar dd tables. All the dd tables were 25 min for me ;-;
