There are 6 decks and the house hits by a soft 17. It allows to split once any matching cards, to surrender at the beginning, and to double after a split.
The casino shuffles the cards only after a hand or a series of parallel hands are played.
Would I have any advantage playing the 5 hands at once?
At least this could reveal a little bit more information about the cards that are still in the stack.
At any given time there would be 15 open cards, and, since the house also checks for a blackjack, I'll know which hole cards don't have an A. That, my rationale is that more information implies better odds for the player.
Would this improve my odds?
Quote: justjackAn online casino offers in American blackjack the possibility to play between 1 and 5 parallel hands at once.

Not enough. Not by a long way. You have an insurmountable problem: The key benefit of more information (as in counting, for example) is that you can decide when to place a big bet, a small bet, or no bet at all. But in this scenario, you only get the information after you have bet (x5). So you can't wong in or out or ramp your bet based on the extra info.
You might, occasionally, get a tiny advantageous bit of information to help you decide when to split or double, but that would be pretty complex to analyse and would not be significant enough to scratch the surface of the house edge. Six decks pretty much destroys that advantage even if you have excellent maths and memory skills.
Nice try though with the lateral thinking.
How about table min on first 3 of 5 hands, intermediate bet on hand#4, and table max on hand #5?
You got a sim for weird jhit like that? Just 2F
<edit> I forgot it was online where they actually have to SEND you your winnings. Nevermind ;-)

Hmmmm. but where is the advantage? The hand with the big bet still has a predetermined big bet before you have gleaned the knowledge from the prior hands. At best you will get a niblet of a clue as to whether you should go against BS with a split or double. Not much of an advantage (Maybe some, I acknowledge)

Nope. Not inclined to bother.
You're not wrong there $:o)Quote:<edit> I forgot it was online where they actually have to SEND you your winnings. Nevermind ;-)
No. OnceDear gave you a great answer. To add to it, if you play 5 hands, you're going to LOSE 5x as much as you normally would, because you're not playing with any kind of advantage if you're playing the game straight up.Quote: justjack...Would this improve my odds?

I say.....Not so fast yourself.
No one said it was not a legitimate question. Actually I think he was given props for thinking further about the possibility of an advantage. He was given the correct answer. IMO if Oncedear speaks people should probably listen. One thing about gambling, AP, life or whatever.... even if you don't know the answer yourself, knowing who to believe is an advantage in and of it's self.
