Hey forum I was wondering if any established advantage blackjack player could give me some advice/answers
on when to deviate from basic strategy. I have taken time to work on these situations myself but if a pro can correct my answers I would be so greatful. I really hope I'm asking to much ovi answer at your own will.
All below pretaining to a single deck:
At what true count should 16 stand vs 10 / my answer any running + count
At what TC should 12 stand vs 12. / TC +5
Any pro advice would be appreciated

Pretty much this =P. Deviations are set number indexes in true count... You can get them pretty much anywhere online, but I would recommend Wongs book as he has a lot more than just the I18. The I18 is a great place to start, but after you've established yourself with a solid winning game anyone taking the game seriously should consider learning more than just those indexes, which should be available online and I know for a fact are in Wongs book.Quote: IbeatyouracesLook up "illustrious 18/fab 4"
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

There is no running count in single deck
The older I get, the better I recall things that never happened

If you're using Hi/Low, sure there is. The running count might be +5, but if there's half a deck left the TC is +10.Quote: billryanThere is no running count in single deck

Yes, when you have less than one deck less there is a TC different than the RC, but here the absolute value would be increased rather than decreased with the conversion.
