Do they have a way to sim the negative impact second hand smoke has on your health? Sometimes off the beaten path casinos I play are like a chimney. Lol
Ventilation in Vegas isn't bad, but other parts of the country you have pack a day smokers everywhere and terrible air flow.
Any thoughts on the issue?

I carry cigars where allowed - it chases the smokers away much faster and I do not have to inhale
No longer hiring, don’t ask because I won’t hire you either

I smoked a big cigar as did my friend once at the blackjack table at MGM Detroit. I got to be "that asshole" for a while -- it was quite fun. The pit boss was very friendly and offered us his torch lighter and cutter.Quote: WizardofnothingI carry cigars where allowed - it chases the smokers away much faster and I do not have to inhale

Tables clear out with stogies. Nice trick for APs.

If people are smoking it definetly affects whether I sit down at a blackjack table or not. Espically if the open seat is right next to a smoker. I'll see which way the smoke is flowing to help with the decision. If the smokers are two or three seats over it's usually no big deal.

At every casino I have ever gone to and asked the dealer to put up a no smoking sign at the table I have been granted that request.

Have you done this at Vegas strip casinos? To be honest I never even thought of doing this but if casinos are willing, I would do it every time I sit down unless there is already someone smoking there. It surprises me that casinos would turn away a paying customer this way. At a BJ table it may not be a big deal for them if several tables are open, but what about games where there is only one table in the casino? I guess the original question was BJ specific.
One of the big tribal casinos in my area has a smoking and nonsmoking side. I think they may actually be licensed as two separate casinos because there are separate chips for the two sides that are not playable on the other side. I'm not aware of Vegas casinos that have nonsmoking areas except for the poker rooms, but if there were, I would be more likely to play there.

My request for this has been honored at every Strip casino except Caesars. They will not put up a no smoking sign - at least that was the case about a year ago.

This is the opposite of my experience. Granted this is not based on a big sample size, but in my experience if a table at any Caesars property unanimously agrees to go non-smoking, they will whip out the sign.
