I've been to a few casinos now that offer the player to double after splitting aces. The catch is the player can't hit, only double or stay. Would there be any altering to the basic strategy because of this? Does the size of the bet matter? (Since you can double for table minimum, would it be better to double a hand for 5 bucks with a 100 dollar bet but not a 5 dollar bet?)

So the question is.... is it worth paying $5(table min) on a large bet to get 1 card on a hand that's not a +EV double? If you're betting enough in certain situations I would guess there are times you would.Quote: WilfordBrimleyI've been to a few casinos now that offer the player to double after splitting aces. Obviously if its a good double you want to get as much money out there as you can.

Here's a summary of how to play this:
Double for the full amount:
All normal BS soft doubles.
Any other hands where doubling is +EV and standing does not have a higher EV (e.g. soft 13 or 14 vs. 4 - normally hitting is worth more, but since you can't take a regular hit go ahead and double the full amount).
AA (soft 12) with a dealer 4-6 if RSA not allowed*.
Double for as little as possible, but double even if you must for the full amount:
Hands where the full double is -EV, but higher than the EV for standing. This would be all soft hands not covered above under 17 (including AA if RSA not allowed*), and 17 except against a 10 or Ace.
Double for as little as possible, but don't if you must for the full amount:
This is the most complicated as the right play would depend on the ratio of your bet to the minimum allowed for doubling. These hands are (all soft of course) 17 vs. 10 or Ace, and 18 vs. 9 or 10 (as well as Ace if H17). Soft 18 vs. 10 is very borderline as the Wizard said, and most sizable minimum bets will make standing better.
Stand:
All BS stands.
Soft 18 vs. Ace if S17 (this is a borderline case in regular BS anyway, and being unable to take a fourth card makes standing better here regardless of any required minimum bet).
*If resplitting Aces is allowed that takes precedence over any other options (which would apply even if full hitting of split Aces were to be allowed).

Thank you very much. All the casinos I regularly go to don't allow resplit of aces. This will help me out a lot

The northern Michigan Indian casinos correct? I'm the guy who originally submitted the question back then when I found this rule at Little River.
P.S. You asked the same question a year ago:
