The other thing i will say is that progressive systems don't work and I know that but neither does single unit betting for 10 hours in a 50/50 game when your trying to win a lot of money. Both styles just seem to have alot of ups and downs but eventually I get slowly chipped away and I end up loser. I am not a counter but what I have seen is there is value in making a big bet after losing a bunch of hands. My friend was a big winner recently at the tables and recently won $100,000 in 2 days without counting and I was there and was able to see the evolution of a guy who bought in for $500 and turned it into $100,000. He doesn't count but what I noticed was that when he lost about 4 or 5 hands in a row he would fire out a huge bet and more times than not won this bet. That move along with single unit betting for 2 full days and slowly moving from the $25 table to the $50 table all the way to the $500 tables was what did it, in the end he was betting 2 hands of $5000, it was slow and quite a grind but he did it. This would not have happened if he never bumped that bet after a string of losses or was reduced to playing ABC blackjack like so many people preach.
In closing these are my suggestions for winning at blackjack from a player who has 20 years at this game. I have had multiple 20k scores and even a 50k score and been witness to several 100k + scores. I have also been in and around winning and losing gamblers most of my life.
1. Leave at your window. Every player is going to win when they sit down to play and hit a window of opportunity where you will never have more money in front of you than you do at that very moment. Thats obviously the time to cash out and leave, the hard part is figuring out your window.
2. Stop hitting hands that always bust you. I bust on 12, 15 and 16 more often than not when looking at a 10, I know this goes against the grain but if you always bust with that hand why hit it?
3. You will never make any money playing single unit betting nor progressive betting negative or positive all the time. You have to make well timed larger bets that win and that can come from counting, feel or because you just lost 5 in a row. Typically if I'm playing $25 and I've lost 4 in a row I will throw out $300 on the 5th hand.
4. You have to put in a long session. Very rarely will you make a fortune in an hour, I've gone on some runs like that but most of the time I witnessed a long 2 day grind or a full 10 hours of play.
5. Don't feel like you have to stay at the same table. If your losing than get up and leave, find another table.
6. Don't play with Asian dealers. It's not that the cards come out different with an Asian dealer it's that they are robotic, unfriendly, never talk and rarely smile. That can absolutely get in your head and it just creates an all round negative session. I have never seen anyone win a fortune from an Asian dealer, avoid them like the plague.
7. You don't have to buy in big. I've seen my buddy turn $300 into $10k I don't know how many times and I've done it myself. It's a progression, it takes time and it takes luck which means winning those big bets when you've decided that something has turned favorable be it the count, 5 losses in a row or just plain feel. If you don't win the big bets you aren't going to have a winning session.
8. Don't drink! Sadly my buddy lost that $100k on the 3rd day due to being at a strip club before hand and wanting to entertain, drink and act like the big man and not respect the game, do that and ole mother blackjack will swoop down and take your whole role. He lost because of booze and arrogance.
9. Don't play in the jungle. The jungle is anywhere besides the high limit room or a section of the casino that keeps the higher limit games that offer no mid shoe entry. People jumping in games and playing bad actually doesn't effect your play at all but God damn it's such a pain in the ass and over time can effect you mentally, scout out a good non Asian table with no mid shoe preferably $25 minimum.
10. Take your chips home with you. If you are serious about playing winning blackjack than responsible bankroll must be in your arsenal, I take every chip home with me except my buy in for the day. I keep them neatly racked in my closet and take with me only cash to the casino, my buy in. I also never use my players card at the table when I buy in and never give it to them when I cash out and when I do cash out it's always under $1000. I just prefer to be anonymous as best i can and I can't see how that hurts when trying to take thousands off a casino.
Once again just my thoughts and opinions and this works for me, if you disagree I understand but welcome honest and interesting replies.
I don't think a single paragraph in this post is accurate. The only think I see that makes sense is "People jumping in games and playing bad actually doesn't effect your play"

Welcome new user. Could you do me a favour please and define Troll for me?
Thanks.
ps. I fear you were just too lucky to have ever learned anything about the game in those 20 Years. Lucky lucky you.
Mathematical incorrect experiences and conclusions are not interesting to the eyes of the mathematical challenged individuals here in this forums.Sorry.
Those hands are not +EV so you're supposed to lose them, especially 16 VS a 10.Quote: SeanBravo
6. Don't play with Asian dealers. It's not that the cards come out different with an Asian dealer it's that they are robotic, unfriendly, never talk and rarely smile. .
In the past I have noticed middle aged and older Asian dealers tend to want you to lose. I believe it's a culture thing where they want to do well for their employer, especially if they are immigrants. They just don't seem to be as friendly as the average dealer. Younger American born Asian dealers tend to be more friendly and nicer.
Some people believe Asian dealers are harder to beat. Obviously that's not true, unless they give you bad penetration or shuffle up on you. Excluding any of that, It's certainly selective memory. You'll tent to remember the unfriendly Asian dealer who was dealing to you at the time you got smoked.
You will enjoy the blackjack scene in the movie The Runner. It's a great scene dealing with this. It's one of the better gambling scenes in a movie.
PS. I think you're trolling. You have tried to create a perfect storm in order to create controversy. I love how you added a disclaimer and welcomed responses. I hope the mods close this thread knowing it has the potential to get people suspended and it has terrible advice.

Yeah, I think that's good advice, Axel. There's such a lot of bad information in there, and the OP hasn't returned for any discussion. Closing the thread.
