Don on the other forum you compared the value of different counting systems. But you never mentioned the fatigue factor. I used to play hi/lo for long, long hours while casino hopping. I never changed to a more complex system partly I admit out of laziness but more importantly I felt that I would get tired more quickly and would not be able to play anywhere near as long. I was wondering what your thoughts and personal experience regarding that are.

My experience? I don't count cards - I play strictly fixed bet basic strategy, complete with homemade basic strategy card (the current version is pink - I ran out of white cardstock).
Also, where did I compare counting systems? If you are talking about this thread, I didn't post anything to it.

I can play Zen all day long if the casino would let me. I do not say this to brag but rather to tell you that with practice you could too. I'm sure you've read on these pages that counting should be as natural as breathing. That's how it is for me. It could be for you, as well, if you put in the practice.
You've also probably read that you use should the count that affords you the least mistakes. Yes, more complex counts will get you more money and I believe in squeezing everything I can from a session. Mistakes will take their toll and cancel any gains so you have to be honest with yourself.
A few words about Hi-Lo. It an easy count that will get you the money in shoe games especially. When combined with wonging and index play it's an excellent count for all but the most discriminating players. It is the only count that I have trained new players in. It is great for counting two tables at once and it is also what the pits know, if they know anything at all.
If I awakened one morning to find that Hi-Lo was the only count available, the only count I could use, I would be completely comfortable with it.

If I awakened one morning to similar circumstances, I would lose all faith in humanity. It would be like living out an episode of "The Twilight Zone" for me.
