I love the Vegas strip, and it is my favorite place to play blackjack, eat and attend shows.....lots of Casino options. However, over the past year or so, it appears that blackjack is dying.....as many casinos are only offering 6:5 games! :(
In 4 trips this summer, many of my previously fond casinos have abandoned my game:
Palazzo---Zero 3:2 shoes----only 2 tables in the entire casino paid 3:2----$50 min DD
Venetian---Zero $25 shoes paying 3:2----and only a couple of $50 min shoes that paid 3:2
Mirage----Only one $25 shoe---and 2 $100 min shoes---all others were 6:5
Wynn---All tables in the front were 6:5----Managed to find one pit (toward the back) that had a few $25 shoes that paid 3:2
Harrahs----All the strip side tables are 6:5----some 3:2 $15 & $25 tables toward the back
Flamingo----couldn't find a $25 3:2 shoe
Caesars---A couple of $25 3:2 shoes in the center, but mostly $50 & $100---all other tables $25 or less tables were 6:5
Paris----all still 3:2
Bellagio----all still 3:2
Planet Hollywood----mostly 3:2 available
Monte Carlo---couldn't find a 3:2 table
So is this the future, or just a temporary casino experiment to see how much more money they can bring in-----amazing, the number of people playing those 6:5 games!

Bellagio recently switched all their CSM tables to 6:5.
:(
Edit: their shoes are all still 3:2, but with higher minimums.

Jim Murren has said he is switching all low-limit tables at MGM properties to 6-5.

This is the future. You might have seen this article which elaborates on the trend:
http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2015/02/28/the-death-of-blackjack-and-what-games-are-replacin.aspx
Interesting, but I don't share the author's opinion that millennials are *in general* more astute to the game odds and strategies.
From whenever I go to the Strip, there are still tons of drunk people of all ages at the blackjack tables and I doubt most of them bother to read the felt before they play. This might have a poor long-term effect but I am sure operators are loving the extra 6:5 cash.

I used to play 6:5 games. Not anymore. I was in a casino, walked up to all the 6:5's and went to the only 3:2 table. The pit bosses noticed me reading the rules and walk away.

There are way more 6:5 and CSM tables now, but almost every casino has 3:2 6D or DD somewhere on the floor.
I wouldn't call the strip dead, but it's slowly getting worse.

Treasure Island pays 3-2 on every shoe and DD. Shoe has DA, DAS, SUR and RSA. DD has DA/DAS.
The min is $10. At $25 you get S17. It is by far the best place to play low limit blackjack on the Strip.
