Quote: AkaSnakeHello there, I am playing on betonline.ag and they are using 9 decks, I was wondering how to exactly count cards? Do I really have to divide the count by 9 to get the running count? Thank you!
This thread has everything you need. You can post further questions there if you need =).

Oh I see, thank you.
Quote: AkaSnakeI still don't quite understand how to get the true count with 9 decks. :/
Divide the running count by the number of decks left in the shoe. If your RC is +10 with 4 decks left, the TC is +2 1/5.

Hmm, I'm not sure how to know how many decks are left in the shoe, also they change the shoe before it's empty.

Most online live blackjack games only deal about half penetration... Meaning if there's 9 decks in the shoe they cut off and bring a new shoe in after 4.5 decks. These types of games are uncountable. If you read the thread I linked you to there's a very important section on Penetration (PEN) and why it's so important. Also, there's a link to Hi/Low which discusses how to convert the true count.
More than likely you're playing a losing game (even if you were counting). 99% of counters fall in to the trap you seem to be slipping in (or already in). They go "hey, I can do +1 and -1's! I can beat this game!!!" without understanding Penetration, bankroll requirements, variance/standard deviations, etc. You think you have a winning game, but if you carefully read the thread I linked you too you'll know just how horrible of a game you're playing and how you can't beat it with card counting. The idea of my thread (as stated in it) is to not think you have a winning game, but know you have a winning game.

Alright thank you Romes, I will make sure to educate myself about the "Shoe Pen" before starting to count cards, thank you!

An excellent idea as PEN is a big part of counting cards =P. Please feel free to respond in that thread with ANY further questions you may have!
Quote: AkaSnakeWhat do you guys think of betonline.ag? I started with 50$ and I am at like 350$ right now after 1 week.
Good going. Well done. But did you take a bonus? Did you read up on the bonus requirements? Are you eligible to withdraw funds?
If you believe that you are eligible to withdraw, then I would very, VERY strongly recommend that you try to withdraw most of your funds. Then stay away until the money hits your pocket. It will give you a valuable insight into how willing the casino is to do the right thing by you.
Do you take advice? Or are you compelled to take risks regardless? Serious question.
Also... counting these games. I've done it, and I've watched others do it. It is a huge and mind crushingly boring waste of time. Not to mention, you won't profit from it.
Again, trust me. Been there, got the t-shirt.
Example. Wong out and back count a table. Bet when TC>2..... you are lucky to get in 5 bets over the course of 5 hours of counting. Try ramping Hourly profit, pennies. bet $5 per hand at rubbish counts to keep your seat and ramp up stupidly to $500 in TC+3 you will risk a fortune over very, very few hands and the casino has a rule, which paraphrases to
"Any time we want to we can throw you out and keep all your bankroll and winnings" And there's sod all you can do about it.
