I will be in Vegas last week of May/first week of June, I have budgeted $2k for non poker games...
My question is which casino is my best bet given bankroll and time slot, if it helps comp consideration wise I will be play a $565 poker tourny at the rio(non negotiable) and $1/2 at the mirage (non negotiable unless there are softer games)

Are future offers any value to you, or does everything have to things you can utilize immediately?

This is a wildly open question. You posted it in the Blackjack section, so I'm assuming you're asking about what blackjack games you could play with a $2k bankroll? Well, if you're just a basic strategy player (or you don't even know basic strategy) just about any game is the same to you... Other than 6-5 blackjack. Never play 6-5 blackjack, it quadruples the house edge. Overall, if you have $2k for "other" games and the majority of your time will be spent playing poker, then I'd say check out the $3 Casino Royal craps across the street from the Mirage. Also, if you want to stay in just that area, Harrah's has 6D H17 game, but it's 3-2 and they gave great penetration the last time I walked through their casino. Also, you could play any double deck game downtown that is 3-2 and lets you double after split. Hell, your best game to play is obviously El Cortez downtown. Single deck, double any 2 cards, .19% house edge. If you're not counting and flat betting you could play quarters wherever. If you are spreading/counting you'd probably have enough to play $10 min bets up to $80 max bets on double deck games.

If you're a counter then you should probably know to consult the Wizards Blackjack Survey. If you're an aspiring counter, then I'd recommend you check out my A to Z Counting Cards in Blackjack thread.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

Now that is a thoughtful response, time consuming thoughtful response, to a newbie on the forum. Thanks Romes, perhaps the forum has a worthwhile place in the world.

How long exactly do you plan on being in town, and how much gambling do you want to do?

To an AP, 2k is barely enough to play $5 BJ.
This is basically what I do with 2k for 6 days.
I break it down to $400 a day. I would have 1 session early with $200 at either a $5 or $10 table and a 2nd session before bed. I set a win goal of usually $100-!50 or a set time limit (usually 2 hours). Once that is achieved or I am busto I quit until later. I rinse and repeat all weak. Once my session is over, I take any money left from that session and stick it into an envelope and then into the safe. At the end of the 5th day I take out the money from each session and see where I am. I make the decision whether or not I am going to use that money on the final day of the trip or If I am returning home with some cash.

To some, this is nonsensical and a lot of work but it is the best way for me to make it through a week without being busto on day 3.
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed. I AM NOT PART OF GWAE RADIO SHOW

If you're playing poker at Rio, go to Gold Coast for blackjack if you can't find the right minimum at the Rio. I highly recommend you find $10-15 games you like, if you try to play at the $25 tables you WILL bust out too quickly.

I hate to be the one to break it to you: The Mirage poker room is no more.

Closest alternatives:
TI - usually dead, beware tight aggressive promo / comp players (they are easy to figure out, but they might take your stack before you do)
Ceasar's - nice room recently updated, diverse clientele, soft games from late evenings
Venetian - biggest room in town, tables tighter than average
