I was backed off from a Caesars-owned property outside of Vegas, out on the east coast. I was playing rated, so they have all my info. Is it safe to expect some sort of 'advantage player' tag to come up every time I play rated inside of Vegas at other properties from now? Wondering if anyone had an experience like this.

Can you give the details or is it too soon? Keep in mind that many casino employees read this forum.

It happened fairly recently so I can't say too much. It was a standard "you can play any other game but blackjack" backoff. It came very early in my visit so they'd probably been paying attention for a while.

Sounds like the card is toast. Can you apply for a new card with different information about yourself. PO box, different middle initial etc?

Something just happened last month that may be hopeful for you to just get a new account.
I took my girlfriend a few months ago to Caesars. She told them she had never been there before and they gave her a new card.
When she went diamond last month, she went to upgrade the card and they said she had no points. They confirmed it was her and when they gave her address, she said, "what, I haven't lived there in ten years."
Apparently, she had been there a long time ago and no one checked when she told them she was a new customer, they just issued her a new account.
They located her account when she showed them the new card she had been gambling on.
So, you might get lucky if you just say, "hey, I'm a new customer". Also should point out she had gotten her new card after arriving by bus and was getting the bus bonus so maybe the bus depot personnel are quicker to move people and not check.

It's my impression that the primary match is by name + birthdate. Women change their names all the time, so it may also drop into a past address search; not sure what would trigger that inquiry. But I think you're going to need an ID that either misspells your name or gives a different birthdate.

Yeah, your point is well taken. I was speculating, probably shouldn't have. Seemed obvious it would be up to the individual whether they wanted to pursue crossing that line, but I guess it's like product liability. I don't recommend this course of action, FWIW, but I think that's what it would take.

That is exactly what I might expect a casino employee to say. Don't a lot of such requests for personal(?) info start out like that, in a seemingly innocent or harmless manner?
Nonsense is a very hard thing to keep up. Just ask the Wizard and company.

2 weeks ago we were traveling. I went into a casino (to be unnamed) to get a poker chip for my collection. They had a promo where new members got free play. I already had a card from the same company but I just went and said I need a new card. They asked if I ever had one and I said no. She just gave me a new one with no problems. I won $20 free play. YAY. If she would of looked it up I was just going to say ohh I didn't know you were related to others. Maybe not ethical but it is what it is.
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed.
