when im betting 1-5 spread for example and am winning the pitboss comes on the table and watches how i play
it will be my first time so im gonna sweat and become red ...
how should i play? flatbet the bet he started watching ? or letting one ride? also by leaving when he watches is clear i count

The pitbass probably just thinks you're the pitdrums and is awaiting your cue to count him in.

unless you're betting black chips I wouldn't even be concerned.
If you act paranoid they will react 50x faster.

Spreading 1-5 what? Nickels? Quarters? As long as you're not spreading high value chips and siphoning thousands of dollars off the table for an extended period of time then you will likely not be noticed. The notion that the pitboss is walking around counting down every player spreading a little green is a myth. Cheaters, mistakes, high action players and player ratings are their main concerns.

One of the hardest parts of successfully counting (for me) is getting the money out when the count dictates regardless of circumstances (pit boss staring you down being one of those circumstances). Unless you are going to be camped out at one casino for hours, using cover is usually not worth it. You gotta get your chips down when you have the advantage!

I know a few guys want to be part of the El Cortez back off club, however If you're serious about APing I think that's ridiculous. Dealers and Management move around to other casinos. Possibly EC runs a promotion, who knows.

I play for fun but want to win if I get a good run so I do play b.s. and will bet wildly different amounts like 10-100 with no rhyme or reason and I've never had anyone notice me. Guess I look like a big fat bumpkin.
