Card counting gets animated

Here's a description of the March 8 episode of The Simpsons:

Chief Wiggum is mistakenly delivered a military jet pack, which he gleefully accepts and uses in order to fight crime. But when the jet pack crashes into the church, the congregation, led by Marge, must resort to gambling and counting cards in order to collect money to repair the church.

I wonder how they're going to handle card counting. I have a feeling that quite a few people will think, "That looks easy!", and head off to the nearest casino with the next mortgage payment.

I'd like to think that they will show how difficult card counting really is, but this is the show that had an episode about magicians and ended up exposing how a famous trick (James Randi's milk can escape) works.

thats assuming that people watch the episode. I didn't realize they were even making new Simpsons episodes.

Sounds like they are planning on doing a parody / mockery of the blackjack playing, card counting, church group.

I look forward to it.

One thing that's interesting is that, in the Simpsons canon, Marge has a gambling problem. I wonder if that will be disregarded, or if they'll bring that back.
