So if there's already been a discussion on this please link me to it and lock this thread. I've been wondering, is it possible to count cards for 21+3, in particular to keep track of the suits to see if there are a lot of cards of one suit remaining towards the end of the shoe to be more likely to get a flush. I ask about this because 21+3 isn't that bad of a bet to begin with carrying a house edge of just over 3%, so if it's possible to "suit count" to sway the odds even a little bit, it could make a big difference! If this has already been tested I'd really be interested to hear the results for it, and maybe it wouldn't work but I thought it would be an interesting idea all the same. Anybody have anything on this?

Also many places have replaced 21+3 with the "Extreme" version with a much higher house edge.

not around here in St. Louis, they have 21+3 and then they have one along side it called "top 3" with a $1 minimum for 3 of a kind or better. Every casino here in STL has regular 21+3 which is NICE.

Last weekend at the MGM Grand Detroit this woman was making some serious cash on the 21+3 bet. As a side bet hater, it was a bit disgusting to see actually.
She wasn't counting, she was just your typical side bet-loving superstitious Detroit gambler.

What surprises me is that the 21+3 is the most searched-for blackjack side bet on my site. It is worthless for the AP.

Maybe it tells you more about who is visiting your page. I'm sure it is a mix of Casino Execs with no clue and wannabe AP's, again with no clue searching it out.
And that is not a knock on your site.

Probably because it is the most popular. After seeing that side bet so much I decided to google it. Then I found your article

This has been my conclusion as well. There are simply not enough casino executives to dent the traffic this game gets and skilled APs dismiss it as a card counting opportunity (not saying there aren't other ways).Quote: BozWannabe AP's, again with no clue searching it out.

Yeah, it's a popular side bet. Definitely is in St. Louis. Hard to find a BJ table without it here.
