i am playing a blackjack slot machine in an Indian casino in California. i would like to know if my results are too far out to be legitimate.
four decks
80 card penetration then shuffle
dealer hits soft 17
BJ pays 3/2
late surrender
split pairs once, double down after splitting except aces
double down any two cards
late surrender
This game is a -0.534 loser. I do play according to the wizards strategy.
I bet 20 dollars per hand, playing 2 hands at a time ($40). since April I have put through $350,000 in action with a loss of $9,513.00. This results in losing around 2.67%. My friend who knows standard deviations says this result for so many hands (17,500) has only a 2% chance of happening. Is it possible that they have programmed the machine somehow. Please don't respond why do I play. I play because of the promotions and mailers. however, my results should be better.
sincerely

Which casino is it at? What brand of machine? Take a picture of the screen and we may be able to tell if it is Class 2 or Class 3. If it is a major brand and Class 3 you are probably just experiencing bad luck.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

I believe I've seen the games you're referring to. Are you at a casino where they don't allow table games? I was at one such casino and they still had "tables" but had video blackjack, etc on them. So there was no physical cards, etc.
They showed a 'virtual' shoe, and even showed when the shoe would be shuffled (about 50% pen on a 4 or 6 deck show game).
If this is anywhere near the case and you're referring to them shuffling after 80 cards being dealt that would be about 40% PEN... which means your -.534% HE is completely an inaccurate representation of the poor quality of that game. It's actually much worse.
I wouldn't play it, but if you're bound and determined with 4 decks you should be able to get a few TC +2's or even TC +3's in the first deck and a half now and then from wonging. Just wong at TC +2 or greater with a max bet.

Playing it correctly means you've already won.

what is it with these guys, getting their jollies this way?
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!” She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder
